It's good to have an open mind. Even though you are "atheist" you could perhaps conceive of god as being a eternal consciousness and a source of life. We don't need to accept religions definition of what God is. The biggest question for me is whether there is a purpose for morality and goodness that affects us beyond this life.
Finally a nonreligious guy who has some sense and is not a pesimist in terms of death. I love people with a good sense of optimisim. I won't lie. Everytime I see someone say nothing after death I grow afraid and depressed. I almost feel a bit emo. This is the reason why I always believe. Such a negative perception makes me not want to die and promote indefinite life span. I hope we live for a purpose. I cannot fathom the thought of living towards nothing.

I had a death experience, not a near death experience in August, 2000. I had a heart attack from extreme stress and working 100 hour work weeks. I didn't see a light or tunnel, but i was in a country side. Beautiful fields of grass and trees and a brook. I heard a voice saying I was not suppose to be hear, but said to it that I wanted to stay, it was such a beautiful feeling. I walked across a bridge over the brook and heard my brother call my name. I've seen lots of people die...there are good deaths and bad...I've seen people go like they drift off to sleep...and I've seen others go out kicking and screaming...dmt...no way...this is no bad acid trip...it's the real thing...my sister when she died, let us know she was okay...There is life after death..I was here in Florida, my mother was up in Florida...1200 miles apart...and we were both contacted at teh same time...pretty.

she contacted my mother and myself (we were 1200 miles apart at the time) around the same time...(give or take) my sister knocked on the window..she had a special "knock" because she couldn't speak due to her cancer...and it was her way of letting Mom and I know that she was Okay...even in her death..her face, it was peaceful...beautiful...No more pain, she looked wonderful...like Jesus called her name, and took her hand....It was that wonderful...

if u read the bible and belive anything that stand in there and u read and say ahh heaven or hell maybe it's none of them but just a belive that all pain and sorrow go away
it may sound stupid, but stupid is that u stick to 1 way and belive things that u havnt seen yet :)

I had a death experience, not a near death experience in August, 2000. I had a heart attack from extreme stress and working 100 hour work weeks. I didn't see a light or tunnel, but i was in a country side. Beautiful fields of grass and trees and a brook. I heard a voice saying I was not suppose to be hear, but said to it that I wanted to stay, it was such a beautiful feeling. I walked across a bridge over the brook and heard my brother call my name. I awoke in the hospital. Hard to explain.

Maybe a dream but i have to say, I had a really bad four wheeler accident several years ago and i got knocked out cause i went off a hill and hit the ground the wrong way anyway i did'nt see anything but i did hear a really beautiful voice and it said to me come with me i want you to see something then for some reason woke up at home so weird

Unstop: If you read the bible, your info is 2000 years old. Modern parapsychology has found a lot more correct info about life after death, as well as material gleaned from NDEs, psychics and seances. Besides, we know that the bible is wrong about a fiery hell, and that you are not stuck in any one condition after death.

The bible is timeless, Everything in it is true from the first page to the last page, and doesn't change, even many yrs later..About hell...The bible isn't wrong, but the ppl who believe in that are wrong..The bible never teaches that anybody will burn forever, but rather that they will perish or cease 2 exist. In other words, there won't be ppl in heaven watching their loved ones burning for all eternity..Thats not right. Look in the Bible, you will be surprised what you find!! Thanks..

Unstop: I like the way Bart Ehrman explains the bible in "Misquoting Jesus". He sees a lot of error in the bible as I do. Judgment is rendered against a book that can be interpreted in so many different ways.

The fact that the Bible is misinterpreted, does not in anyway say that the Bible is in err, but more so that some people who read it are in err.....Light is Light, Truth is Truth..It has proved itself reliable down through the centuries, and i am confident that you are open minded enough to carefuly consider the evidence and make your own decision regarding the Bible's prophetic accuracy and truthfulness.

For UNSTOPPABLETV (1) - This is what we know: the Bible was written by many many authors over a 1400 year period, many with contradictory goals, ethical and moral rules and personal motivations. On one hand parts of it are less than 600 years old, on the other most of the miracles are updated versions of Babylonian, Sumerian, Roman and pre-Judean myths, all civilzations with a strong cultural legacy prevalent in the 'Holy' land at the time the original core texts were probably written.

No. The sea creatures died in the sea. The mountains used to be under water millions of years ago, but the movement of the tectonic plates forced tham out.
