actually the iihs side test is more stringent than the nhtsa side test. the iihs test rates dummy kinematics in the side test, nhtsa does not. the iihs barrier is larger and heavier. the iihs barrier replicates an suv hitting you in the side, the nhtsa barrier replicates a sedan. if a car doesn't have side head protection, you can pass a nhtsa side test, in an iihs side test, the barrier will hit the dummies' heads at 31 mph, so you must have side head protection to pass the iihs side test.
Well since u think 2007-Current sentra is COMPACT.. YOU take that up with Nissan Motors NORTH AMERICA.. Because every new sentra ive seen has "Midsize" on the sticker..
