People loved them because they could keep up with the guys and still be pretty/girls . For instance that classic dive on the floor @ 5:23 . No women would'nt dare hump the floor : They killed it :
I love how he does the James Brown thing at the end with the guy coming out with the cape and ushering him offstage and then he throws it off and comes back out!

Hammer gave them an oppurtunity and almost all of them found thier nitch in the industry from putting together award shows to working with the kids on tv shows such as DO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE !!!
So these dancers are still doing thier thing today !
Well alot of Hammers dancers went on to do some really big things...The 5 ladies on stage dancing was known as TORTURE......JUNELLA SEGURA with the pony-tale puts together BEYONCE stage shows..
MICHELLE JENNINGS is a actress/producer/director..and do voice overdubs for animation movies and cartoons in HOLLYWOOD.
and UVANDA, SHARILISSIA, & YOLONDA are all dance instructors and do chorography for videos and awards shows for many artists today......
I taped this almost 20 years ago from the Soul Train awards. I used to watch this performance every day until my tape broke. I'm glad someone put this on. Thanks for the memories.
DAMN....I had this whole presentation, but my old vcr screwed it up. but its all good, cuz u sharing it on the tube! and as always, hammer throws down!..LOL! and i miss seeing this awards show like this from the early 1990s to early 00's! nowadays it aint the same!...sigh!

The dancers went on after Hammer to do some big things, TLC, BOYZ II MEN, JANET , NEYO , & BEYONCE have all been chorographed by some of his dancers.
