Is it the score – number of points – or the number of lines which determines the size of the spaceship at the end ? When (number of points / lines) is the biggest one displayed, and is there an actual end, or does it go on, and on, and on, even when the counters can't go higher ? The best I did was about 220 lines / 335000 points, and I got a medium sized spaceship.

@gas01ine Definitely, it took me about a month since I got the game to get that score! It took me 30 mins in a whole game just to get that score! It only took you 10 mins to get almost 3 times my score, which is very impressive in my opinion!

@MarioMario1009 but up to that point it took me almost twenty (!) years of playing until i got that score;and two weeks of hours of daily practicing. :D so i guess i wasted way too much time on a skill that as no real-world application whatsoever.... well, it *might* come in handy packing a suitcase ;)

@gas01ine well you most definately have the whole concept of placing the bricks right figured out, but lack the split-second decisions in doing so, meaning that you won't be getting the top score.

I don't know if it's age or something, maybe I'm really "OCD", but I've become increasingly disturbed by that sort of repetitive and silly music, which fully deserve the name of "earworms".

hey amortha! if you start with level 9 then the game switches to level ten after 90 (100?) rows. so i try to score as much quad-rows as possible when the speed is relatively low.

thank you, although i am not that good at speeds beyond level 15. to practice higher levels you can start the game in speed mode by holding DOWN at the title screen and pressing start, so all the levels are now ten levels ahead. have fun! and thanks for the comment!

Haha nice video...starting to look more like B mode near the end. Highest I ever got was 300,000...remember the first time I got there. This was back when I was like 10 though back in the mid 90s...I used to think i was the best at the game back then. Tried playing with the down start trick to get used to the faster levels but never could play them. Nice job tho...brings back memories

How did you set up your video camera ?

300'000 at level 10 is very high i average between 230 and 250 by the time i reach level 10. When i got my high score i was on level 19 but i think i could easily make 500k on a good run.

To the guy who said he had 740'000 im confident you're lying. Everyone know thats once you get to around 500'000 or so you're on level 20 and its just a case of consistancy after that to 999'999 which has been achieved.... there's a video of it on this website

i dont think so either. i guess the soyuz is the biggest thing you'll see apart from the space shuttle (which i think is much cooler). and if you're feeling mad enough you can try to get the bounty money at twin galaxies when scoring 1,000,000 or 999,999 pts in Tetris. as if it was ever possible :)
