An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG @ samzurick*dot*com contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers". THANKS!!
Why didn't he made Dune comic book when he alredy had the sketches, the screenplay, the rights and comic book artist? He should do that, instead of Incal and similar stuff...
Even if this had strayed incredibly far from the book, it woudl've been something special. At the very least, music by Pink Floyd and Magma? HOLY CRAP.
I have been interested in Jodorowsky's vision for this for a long time and it's worderful as a curious for fans of film, the books & Jodorowsky himself.
For me yes, I think it would have been better, but Lynch's film wa raped by his producer and there's never been a Lynch director's cut....
Jodorowsky's film might have been a loose adaptation but if he'd pulled it off this film'd be the Star Wars of its day. I think his version & script would have been almost unfilmable, but I'd love to have seen it...
Scott's vision could have been better but Lynch was a gun-for-hire as he isn't a Blockbuster or Sci-fi kind of guy, i think he was the wrong director and he screwed it up. After it bombed with audiences and critics, he disowned the film and he regrets making the film for he doesn't like to talk about in interviews for it's a painful memory and a good lesson to hollywood on how not do make a Sci-fi blockbuster: Rule 1 Don't hire David Lynch. There is a new Dune movie coming soon.
Do you agree with me that Lynch isn't a blockbuster friendly guy? yes i think Sci-fi channel mini-series was enjoyable but problemic but it's sequel made it better. With a new Dune movie, i think Avatar is already the same thing as Dune by Herbert, if you watch Avatar you'll find similarities.
On Lynch's past work yes, 'Straight Story' proved he can do mainstream but not really summer event films. Agreed on Children of Dune, much more polished.
I thought Avatar was more 'Dances with Wolves'! Some great design in it, but it's just cowboys & indians to me...Cameron's no Ridley Scott!
I find the mentions of 'Spice mines' in Star Wars interesting too, also that a chunk of it is set on a desert planet...I think if there's to be a new film, you need a visionary director
There you go again with DWW, they aren't nothing alike. But do you think there are similarities between Dune and Avatar? and would you compare The Matrix to Dune? they do have similarities you know. Which is better?
Well the matrix was too similar to 'The Invisibles' comic for me to love it, but neither the matrix or avatar has the depth of themes that Dune has. The Matrix has some nice metaphysics behind it, but not a touch on say Philip K dick...
For example Herbert has future humanity behaving like psychos! Almost all the characters are totally selfish, feudal, violent drug addicts! And by the end, the messiah is coming to usher in humanity's next stage in evolution!
Both Avatar and dune have young men going to a planet to work for a corporation that exploits a mineral substance, the young men get left in the wilds and join up with a tribe then go through tests of manhood including taming a beast and doing a Water of Life kind of thing and fighting against the corporation. I say Avatar has more of a feel to Dune, Last of the Mohicans, Princess Mononoke, Fantastic Planet, Nausicaa, Castle in The Sky and Heavy metal feel to it than DWW
Have you even seen Fantastic Planet? that's what Avatar is like instead of The Smurfs. Cameron wrote Avatar before Pocahontas and The Matrix in 1993, he was going to film it in 97 for a 99 release date but decided to hold it off for a decade until the technology does justice to his vision. Cameron stated he used Fantastic Planet as one of his influences for his movie, it's an awesome adult French/Czech Sci-fi movie and one of his fave animated movies.
@Johnlindsey289 hahahaha,it also looks a lot like some Roger Dean's pictures, there you can even see the flying/levitatiing pieces of rock, hmm earth, ahh,i'm sure you now what i mean
Cool, I didn't know Peter Gabriel was involved in this as well.

Loved the Lynch version, but this one sounds mind altering, too bad.

for all the money they wasted on pre-production, they could have made a movie!

If they had made Dune we might never have had 'The Incal'. Lucky, I say!!

today i watched dune for the first time.
dune was slightly flat and nothing special
some of the villains reminded me of Dr who from the colin baker era (1984/5)

It would have been fucking spectacular and better than that Lynch clunker we got a decade later.

I'd have LOVED to see Ridely Scott's version, but I'm glad he chose Blade Runner instead.
There was an incest scene in the script though between Paul & Jessica that I'm not sure about...
I don't think we'll see a Dune film for a while, Pierre Morrell has left the production...
To be honest I really like the sci-fi channel's mini-series, despite a few dodgy accents & FX, I thought it was pretty decent...
