i'm never gonna hate metallica. i even did (not so proud of it but i have faith) this.. i bought lulu, i have every cd. fuck all of the metallica haters they still rock, even when they are old like lou reed you will understand why old people think lou reed is cool, cause he used to rock, thats why some ppl bought lulu. i did. anyway you will buy metallicas cd when they are old as lou reed, your son will say "THAT ALBUM SUCKS".. i will say "you don't understand me, this band is a awesome legend!"

I am rather stuck in the glorious!! past and remember 5 amazing shows in 91-93 & 99 when they sent you home SPEECHLESS. better than fanboys who think their holy band can do now wrong with no clue. sure, lulu is reed's fault...LOLu. take their production away and metallica are a very, very boring band these days. "thrashing for 30 years" - give me a break - motörhead, anthrax, overkill - they are road dogs as well and still deliver. no excuse for large oilrig not practicing!

I don't care what any of you die-hard metallica fans say, I hate this song because it's shit. Metallica were Gods, they really were. But when I saw Lars Ulrich say 'I'm really fucking bored', at a gig, I realised that they'd lost the passion for it. It's a shame, if you're a die-hard fan (I was, seen them 7 times), it's hard to admit. But in my view his strained vocals, the lack of passion and good riffs/lyrics coming out.. They should call it a day and be remembered for what they once were.

It's fucking laughable how, everytime a band changes their sound, one of their fangirls comes along and goes OMG YOU'RE JUST CLOSE MINDED YOU JUST DON'T LIKE IT'S DIFFERENT UR STUCK IN THE PAST ZOMG.

I have nothing against progression in music. Progression is a necessity of art. This is a regression. These are half-assed riffs anybody could write in a course of 10 minutes with poor production, obnoxious vocals, and hilariously corny lyrics/titles that scream "we're trying HARD to be metal!"

It wasn't fail by Metallica. It's a record by Lou Reed featuring Metallica. It was Lou Reed's idea, Metallica is just playing in the record by Reed's request. And yes, it's an awful record.
