That's one of the best SPN fan vids I've ever seen. Not only the theme of the video itself is very original (there are more videos about Sam & Dean than about John) but the editing is awesome. The choice of the song is very good too.

I am blushing with emotions right now. I worked very hard on this. I had heard the song and originally I thought of Dean. But after I read John's journal, I was so moved and decided to make this vid with that song.

Every SPN fan should read his journal. It really gives us so much insight into his character. I was very critical of John when I first watched Supernatural, but after reading his journal I felt like I understood him and his actions much better. =)

Those were my words exactly (so much insight into John's character.) Because of the constraints of the show, we were never given the opportunity to truly learn of John's inner thoughts and what his motivations were, other than the obvious to avenge Mary.

Is Supernatural any good?

I think so- but of course it depends on what you like. At the core, this is a story about family, and specifically about brothers. Overall, it's about hunting ghosts, demons and other evil things, and just being Hunters.

When I started watching, I rented the first season 1 disc from Netflix then just ended up buying the seasons because they were so good- Like SuperCrack

You are welcome-- yes, get the book when you can. you won't regret it. There were parts in the beginning where every entry was some hunter we had heard of, it was like a who's who of SPN and a bit cheezy- but then when it gets into the heart of the Winchester story- AH! It's fantastic to get a glimpse into John's heart, and Sam & Dean's childhood.

Yes, in the journal John talks about how he spent a great deal of time at the Roadhouse early on. And that he used to leave the boys with Ellen and Bill while he hunted. And that Jo was 4 months older than Sammy. And the story of how Bill died.
