this camera may have the size qualifications of a good camera but sucks major wang in the color saturation, white balance, and focus. so in the end your better off getting a lower size video and better camera.
This is a great little video camera. Only problem is these camera's have been discontinued. Cisco will not provide any more software support. You should be able to find these for under $50. When Cisco announced that they were dropping this line and not supporting it I was disappointed. I do believe Cisco bought out this company over a year ago and then discontinued support and production.

Do you ever get locos going along that rail track? My other hobby apart from r/c flying is I run US locos on my layout. It would be great if you could capture a loco passing when you were flying one of your aircraft. Thank you for this review of the Flip, lke you I am always on the lookout for a better camera to film my helis & locos.

Very nice! The Flips are pretty good little cameras. Fits well in the pocket, has great microphones. My biggest gripe is the lens gets smudged easily. I paid quite a bit more for mine, you got a heck of a deal!

You should try go pro....they are a small hd camera with many different mounting options and is often used in action sports

Have you tried the DVK808#11? It films at 30fps, 720p HD and weighs less than an ounce. I paid $40 for mine, and it's great for small RC aircraft.

Looks great but not very aerodynamic :) you should also try the gopro cameras, you can get a very wide angle image because of the fisheyed lens ;)

cam makes great footage, check out the Go Pro cams also Dave, this one however comes cheaper and does a great job in my opinion. Thumbs up Dave !
