Chris Slade was the best drummer AC/DC ever had. He played some of the old stuff a bit too fast, but he gave the band a crazier Punk edge. Too bad he's not in the band anymore.

Just because he's an "original" doesn't mean he's better. Slade is a much much much better drummer. Rudd doesn't come close. With Slade AC/DC drumming acutally meant something, Rudd just keeps a simple beat. Any decent drummer could do Rudd's job. It's the truth and you know it. AC/DC is my favorite band my miles, but firing Slade was one of their biggest mistakes.

By the way, don´t you think Malcolm and Angus know what they want for sound? Yeah, they want the steady solid beat from Phil. If every decent drummer can play like Phil why the hell couldn´t they find anyone then? I have seen AC/DC about 25 times with all the drummers and i know what i am talking about, do you??
