What is that horse? He moves a lot like my ottb, but couldn't tell b/c of how fast the scenes were changing and was wayyyyyy too busy laughing. (: Cute vid.
glad im not the only one who rides a crazy jumper that i have to lunge first =P and dont complain about getting up at 730, i went to a show last year and our schooling time slot was 5:15-5:30am. which means we were out there at 4:30 and awake around 3:45. it suckeddddd
@cheepooluvr I don't believe that lunging a 'crazy' horse for 30 mins will solve the problem. A horse that truly has a problem won't be tired by 30 minutes of jogging and will have enough energy to still give you hell. Problems start all horse problems, so we have to explore how to solve it. It's all about inner energy, which you then transfer to your horse. Your calm becomes his calm, but it has to be a real calm, not forced or pretend.
@H0useMouse though i didnt ask for a lecture.. my horse is fine. he gets really excited at shows and 30 minutes on the lunge is enough to get his attention back to where it needs to be without endangering someone on him first. he's one of the horses that just need to get it out of his system and then he's ready to pay attention and work. and its not 30 minutes of jogging anyways ;)
Haha it's like the nicest show place around here. They have grand prix's all the time (Ian Miller, Kyle King etc.). I love it there. I can only afford their schooling shows xD It's fun anyways.
Your Lucky! I have to wake up at 4:45 a.m. for horse shows! Sometimes earlier! :(
