I encourage my daughter who has locs to put some earrings and makeup just like she would if she had braids or relaxer. After all it is just a hair style. @BigLyfe09 I can probably wear twists...idk yet. The reason locs were ruled out is because they get pretty thick as they get longer and will misshapen the hats we are supposed to wear. Also, you'll have to keep them cut, which sucks. twists on the other hand....i should be able to wear them since i can just take them down. --unless you were talking about the "very beginning of growing locs" kind of twists.
@BrownEyedStatistic: locks can come in all sizes.. sisterlocks are pretty micro sized mature... hair does get long after 2 years though. Hope you get your chance soon.

@BigLyfe09 I can probably wear twists...idk yet. The reason locs were ruled out is because they get pretty thick as they get longer and will misshapen the hats we are supposed to wear. Also, you'll have to keep them cut, which sucks. twists on the other hand....i should be able to wear them since i can just take them down. --unless you were talking about the "very beginning of growing locs" kind of twists.

@BrownEyedStatistic: locks can come in all sizes.. sisterlocks are pretty micro sized mature... hair does get long after 2 years though. Hope you get your chance soon.

@BigLyfe09 yeah i hope so too. My oldest sister always her hair in micro braids, second oldest keeps her hair relaxed, so it was destiny for me to keep my hair natural lol.

@chamogul yeah don't turn back u will regret it...i had mine for 4 years and cut them off because i was getting tired of them and wanted a new look...but a couple of months later i just didnt feel like myself anymore..long hair was just me so now im starting over and im 1 month in now lol i hate this stage

i can't wait to lock my hair again, it more convenient for me. i have no problem with ppl who get perms or relaxers. but, locks are more easy for me to maintain.
