Sometimes it's better to headbang with your GUITAR'S timing, and not the drums. Complicated songs like this have different time signatures for different things. The drums could be SUPER fast, but the guitar could be 3/4 as fast, and if he kept with the drum's beat, he wouldn't play his notes correctly.

I think pulkerwhast is right. Well it's your thing to choose your musical tastes but lately you're much into post-thrash stuff while forgetting of your progressive abilities. Just upload some prog-death stuff sometimes :) Or you can still use that 7 string guitar for much more progressive stuff like eg. Nevermore does.
