I can't believe how much I'm crying right now. I am 17 years old and will be going to college this time next year. Me and my dad are really close and it's hard to imagine being by myself. I don't think people appreciate their dads enough. Next time you see him, tell him thanks for everything that he does for you.

This past saturday my best friends dad passed away, we were tight from senior kindergarten and her dad was like my second father.... today was the funeral for him.... Him and his family were just getting started in there new life they built a new house and a new barn and were planning on moveing in next week, : '( I'll miss you Chris..... this song is a big reminder of what and who my dad was before the accadent(sp) but now we atent close so i only see him once a year and now my dad says i am nothing but an aggnorant (sp) child that will never grow up.......i misss the old days when we would stay up late brakeing my mom's rules when she was out this song was our " kenna song " as he put it meaning this song relates 2 us nonstop........what a load of crud .......but i still like 2 think it is.

This song makes me want to cry. My dad and I love eachother so much. We never really fight, but he will get mad very easily and yell at me for little things. I'm very emotional but I'll start crying because of this. This song just reminds me that he loves me and that he just wishes he could stop his little girl from girl growing up.

Sometimes my daddy will say things that make me upset. But i never get mad because I know he only says and does those things because he's only trying to protect his only little girl. I love my daddy even if we get in a few arguements. But that don't mean I love him any less. And I feel so blessed to have so many people in my life that I love and care for. wow i am in tears i am like extremely close to my daddy and now he is deployed to iraq and is going to visit in august.... i miss him so much and every time we "skype" i cry and he does too,.. i am just going crazy missing him as well as my little brother and mom but what i miss the most is him tucking me into bed at night and sayin 'baby girl i love you' I miss u daddy =)

the day i turned 18 my daddy played this song over and over and me and him were both crying.. i am the biggest daddys girl ever i even have a tattoo that says daddys girl with a teddy bear holding a heart.. i also do have my daddy wrapped around my finger he was never able to get mad at me becasue i would always cry and that would just break his heart so he would baby me.. and when my husband asked to marry me i could see the hurt in my dads eyes because he thought he was losing me.

@ThisShallbeEmily26 Hi, I felt the same way about my dad but now I am a middle aged parent myself and I realized that he never changed how he felt about me but was more vocal about the ways he wished I would behave because that was the only way he COULD influence me. Your dad won't think your a screw up, he is concerned about choices you're making and the only way he can make you make the right choices is by telling you he's disappointed. Your dad loves you and is reeeeeally worried about you.
