  • cool intro

  • Timm Russ? WTF? lol

  • @QuinnPhoenix23 Even i never thought he would be starring something other than Star Trek Voyager (or like in one episode of TNG).

  • It seems like anything was possible back then. Not like today when everything is controlled by corporations. TV networks don't take risks anymore so all the content is extremely controlled. Hey its Tovac from star trek. HAHA!

  • they have them an Alien from V....(SHE IS SO HOT )

  • i gotta say it fun the idea of convoy meets airwolf, and the transformation effect very very nice (this + robot jox, needed CGI to make transformers movie my foot)., but bugs me that he has to leave most of the truck behind..... it not like it becomes a chinook or coast guard helicopyer, so the trailer then carried by the cargo winch. he just flys way. plus the cab obviously a helicopter. but this what love bout 80s IMAGINATION & experimentation

  • Yes it was, his name is Tim Russ

  • WTF IS THIS?!

  • @skaleniusFilms The "highwayman" ...shitty show ... today ... but a hell of fun back in the 80's

  • The intro music is epic

  • @Habeel13 yehh just as i remembered it, would be great if there was a remix.

  • The main character in this series reminds me of the villian from Commando. He looks more like the mad villian, then the hero. I liked the impossible physics behind the show. A helicopter inside a truck. The steeringwheel swapping for the flightstick. I loved the low riding car that could hook up onto the trailer.

  • miss that shit on tv ! come back !

  • Gordon's alive! ...and driving a truck

  • @bud9133 never thought of this semi as a Rodimus contender but better than an oversized Winnebago.

  • 1:11 Can someone tell me if that truck was used in another tv show Viper? I remember seeing it, I thought it was a live action Rodimus Prime.

  • The Highwayman was my top favorite tv show in the 80's. I have all The Highwayman episodes on tape from the time when I was 16 years old and was recording them from my tv back then. Amazing my VHS tapes are all still good and viewable. The picture and sound are still good as the day I first recorded them. Watching them again brought back a lot of awesome memories.

  • The 80's were awesome with a lot of great tv shows, movies and music.

  • Was this supposed to be a post-apocalyptic show?

  • This shit was stupid.

  • Highwaymen sure didnt last every long..they alway took they great show off, and put on stupid ones.went to a truck show up IA and they had that truck there.,tried to get them to let me test drive but O well.

  • Gordon's alive!

  • Sam Jones, according to his bio, was 33 years old when he made this series. Hard to beilive.

  • is it just me or is this show..really hypnotic and addictive..

  • was there some deep philosophical meaning to the ladies legs and the skeleton on the path?

  • tim russ was in this ...tuvok?

  • Liked this show, thought it was interesting. Unfortunately, this was another show with a short shelf life, but I loved that truck:)

  • Tim Russ. LOL. I bet he got a lot of stick for this on Voyager. ^_^

    Totally cool series, though.

  • Gotta love the 80s....

  • crazy show but in the 80's anything was possible i loved every episode

  • The energizer bunny killed jacko

  • all i know is that sax player is getting laid!!! hell yeah

  • most of that intro looks like something youd see projected at a rave in the early 90s

  • @milkkart while on an acid trip...

  • That truck was cool.

  • I'd like to see the Highwaymen take on the Wraith.

  • I must have been 7 when i used to watch this, really loved it, just couldnt remember the name of the show,

  • I used to think Jacko was so cool.

  • tim russ played tuvok on voyager

  • I still remember when Knight Rider went and this came along. Didn't last long.

  • I was in the fifth grade when this show came out. Tim Russ was in Spaceballs. He was Spaceball trooper who said, "We Aint Found Shit!!!"

  • I love this show it was on NBC and i love the theam song : )

  • what is the song i have been looking everywhere but can't find it. love this song.

  • The real stars of this show is Mark "Jacko" Jackson and the hot breasted chick.

  • I remember watching this. I couldn't think of the name of the show. I always remembered that custom semi truck

80s tv shows were the best.

  • starring jacko as jetto..........nice one

  • man i jus luv the intro music, reminds me of wen i used to b a kid n wud always turn on the tv to watch the intro atleast, XD

  • JACKO!!!!

    GET THE ENERGIZER! OI!

  • I know what you mean, television today is not as good as it was in the 80's and early 90's.

  • I know what ya mean tv today as as good as the 80's and early 90's when series were good original and fresh

  • Very good TV show! I really like when I was a young boy back in the '80s

  • i like that series v much. i saw that in my childhood .waoooooo

  • see now this is the kind of stuff we need to have on television again.

  • I remember watching this show. it was shown every Friday night here in the Philippines back in '89, along with Hard Time on Planet Earth, The Twilight Zone and Monsters

  • I love "Monsters".

  • He was Flash Gordon in the 80's cult classic

  • He kind of looks like Ken Shamrock.

  • I remeber that in Mexico was broadcasted on 1990...saturdays 10:00 pm...unforgettable..

The intro music so 80 style!!!!

  • Wherefore art thou, Jacko?

  • I love the Theme!

  • I loved this show, I don't know that I missed an eposide.

  • big fan of the show

  • Putain it's awesome çà fait trop longtemps que je cherche cette vidéo et enfin je la trouve !!!!

  • Sam Jones was in the live action Flash Gordon movie. Jacko was an Australian FootBall player

  • was that black actor the same dude that played Tuvok from Star Trek: Voyager?

  • Indeed.

  • Yep Tim Russ later played Tuvok the Vulcan on Star Trek Voyager--Good call!

BTW, I acted as an extra in 3 of this show's episodes (damn I was young back then LOL) and Russ, along with Badler, Jones & Jacko were very cordial stars--no ego trips from either person which makes me wonder to this day why this series failed so badly after 1 season! :-(

  • he also played an f.b.i agent on the "fresh prince"

  • You are indeed correct. He pops up now and then in 80's tv.

A useless bit of trivia Jones's co-star "Jacko" was Mark "Jacko" Jackson a former Australian Rules Footballer who after a somewhat hit & miss celebrity life in Australia moved to the U.S. to try and get into movies or tv.

  • @gusdaddy0

    Yes it is.

  • @gusdaddy0 That definitely looked like Tim Russ AKA Tuvok.

  • @gusdaddy0 Tim Russ.

  • @gusdaddy0 Yes, that's right. Tim Russ!!!!

  • @gusdaddy0 yes that is tuvok and the highway man stared in a episode of stargate sg-1 as a bounty hunter

  • @ollox73 Good memory ! it was really hearty to see him in that episode :)

  • JETTO GUERRERO Y TANIA

  • dvds??????

  • thissucks

  • Yes you do don't you

  • okay, its coooool

  • AWESOME.

  • still have some episodes on VHS,show kicked ass waiting on the dvd(80's shows are the best)

  • old school

  • Looks Like Mad Max Rockatansky :D

  • CLASSIC

  • OMG! I remember this show!

  • please upload full episodes

  • I actually enjoyed this show. I got a hoot out of seeing that guy from the battery commercials having to actually ACT!! Whatever happened to Jacko, anyhow?

The pilot was produced by Glen Larson Productions and 20th Century-Fox. By the time they made it into a series, Fox somehow dropped out of the picture, and Larson was still involved, but the production company for this was listed as 'New West Entertainment'. And it was also cool to hear William Conrad narrating the series!

  • Man...they had the coolest trucks in the world. They had one that change into an helicopter and the other was like a tank or something pulling a trailer. Damn...I wish I had one of those

  • Big McLargehuge

  • hey, this is Tuvok from Voyager, what is he doing in there???

  • truckerflicks DOT ecrater DOT com

  • truckerflicks DOT ecrater DOT com

  • This was part of Brandon Tartikoff's strategy of scheduling "MTV-influenced" action/adventure shows on NBC's Friday night line-up in the late '80s...I remember there were some "music video" sequences of models posing in the Phoenix desert during some of these episodes....this lasted just 10 episodes. I believe producer Glen Larson still has the rights to this series.

  • This is a rare show I remember that I never thought anyone else would. Now I know better. BTW..Anyone remember a very short series called The Wizard? It didn't last long and Howie from the Fall Guy was in it. This little guy was a toymaker but made stuff for the Government, too? I really can't remember it, but I thought it was kewl.

  • man!! I thought I'd never see this again, it's a shame NBC cancelled this show so soon, too bad you can't get it on dvd like everything else, last I read the truck was painted white & purchased by some trucker

  • It's nice to see this, because not many people i know have heard of this.

  • where the highwayman buy

  • goddamn this series was sooo fucking cool. flash gordon and diana from v....ohhh man i drooled everytime this came on tv. to stunned in silent awe to close my mouth. this needs to be on dvd.

  • Yeah, just like the MaxHeadroom series.

    Brief but cool.

  • that show starred the sexy amanda pays who played tina mcgee on the tv series the flash

  • frm where i can download this series?? complete...

  • Jacko!

    OI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • one of the few things sam jones has appeared in, his most famous appearance of course: flash gordon

  • he also did "the spirit" tv pilot with nana visitor.

  • I remember... "What's that sound?... - There Angels" when a guy inside the "trailer becoming helicopter" ask to the Highman...!!!!

  • Before this show hit tv my dad, sister and I were driving down the freeway here in phoenix, az we saw the truck and it was right next to us.

  • I have watched various cop shows in the late 80s, this one was by far the most futuristic. Also one of my favorites.

  • Liked the show. Intro dumb. But liked the show. Jetto was my favorite.

  • the truck that also turned into a helicopter that was class!

  • wow that's a rare one I haven't seen in a long time. And Tuvok was in it too!?

  • really love that show, where could i find full episodes?

  • Fantastic seening this again,i loved this show, remember the episode when they go back to the 1940s and see the atomic tests and the chick falls inlove with highway then he meets here again when shes old! superb!!!!! Anyone got this on dvd?

  • can u please upload full episodes??

    thanx man

  • Oh! How I loved Jane Badler in those days. She was well fit. And still is by all accounts!

  • i miss show like the highway man, it was better this some of the crap on tv today

  • all i really remember about this show was the truck's cab converted to a helicopter. why can't today's shows be more fun and innovative like highwayman and knight rider. all thats around now are reality shows, blech.

  • awesome thanks for the memories. I bet my friend Macgyver would be on longer then this show. But we loved em both.

  • The theme music hooked this impressionable young lad back in the day - I wanted to like the show, but couldn't sit through more than a few episodes - maybe not enough 'copter.

  • I used to watch this show to. I even met the star.

  • That's great; I loved that show ....and the music.

I'll have to see if I can get DVDs. Thanks for posting the intro.

  • love it. does any dvd exist of this show?

  • me encantaba esta serie, me trae buenos recuerdos

  • OMG!!! I remember this from when I was about 10 years old !!Did'nt know tuvok and Diana from V were in it ...so cool !

  • Best show ever. Watched most of the series till it got cut from Irish network tv in the early 90s

  • Truly brilliant - they used to put this on late night in the 80's,about 11:00pm, but it was worth watching for the "Mad Max 2" side to it. Think they had a 'copter that popped out of the back of that truck whenever they needed it; not too sure...Surprised to see Tim Russ (Tuvok off ST:Voyager) in it, though. Great Character name - D.C. Montana!! What was Jane Badler's character though??? (She was fit!)

  • Jane played Tania Winthrop-basically,the Highwaymen's boss.

  • Awww -the memories are flooding back. How can a series that was this good just vanish of the face of the earth without a trace?

  • That was a lot cooler looking than I remembered it! And its got Black Vulcan! Awesome!

  • I told my friends that this show existed and they thought I was lying! HA!

  • i wish it wasnt cut so short.to me it was the greatest.

  • Good post. I haven't seen this since the 80's. I didn't know that Tuvok from Star Trek Voyager was in it!
