    wow wow,,,

very beautifully launching rocket with a video camera,,,

    what kind of video camera

  • that is so fast!!!

  • the fuckin best rocket video ive ever seen

  • coolest video i have EVER seen

  • see, its always sunny somewhere

  • Nice man! One of the better onboard vids I have seen! Nice vid, nice rocket!

  • at 2:21 what is that red thing?

  • @The18Game That's the pilot parachute for the rocket's main parachute. That red parachute is 45 inches in diameter and pulls a 15 foot white parachute out of the deployment bag. The nose cone section with the camera inside has its own 8 foot parachute.

  • @The18Game That's communism..duh!

  • Потрясающе!

  • 0:23 i cried

  • that was beast. favorited.

  • @1969captainron That was the main parachute coming out (the drogue 'chute came out right at the peak). What you saw sail by the opening was another piece of the rocket that held the parachute.

  • 0:26 so peaceful

  • good you didn't hit an airplane up there lol

  • 9.81m/s^2

  • that inside camera idea is amazing. looks like ur in a ship

  • sooo, why did chuck norris video tape him jumping?

  • @minikillaa224 worst joke ever

  • whos the guy mumbling in the background? Whats he saying?

  • @Seigu007 5 4 3 2 1... Count down

  • 0:27 someting collided aganist the miniwindow what is it?

  • @MarcoTUV - Probably a piece of debris from the ejection charge. BTW, there's no window here, it's just an open hole in the side of the payload section. That's why it "moans" like that.

  • Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Very cool!!! Great!

  • five out of five superb

  • imagine if you were in it

  • @sprig3432 . I am quite sure the rocket motor would not have enough thrust to lift you.

  • @dhbiza Actually, it has plenty. The motor mentioned in the description has over 500 lbs of thrust on average, and has an initial peak somewhere over 700. It could put the average male adult like a mile up. Of course he'd probably be dead when he got there (from the acceleration, lack of oxygen, etc.), but it would have no problem lifting him.

  • sweeetnesss!

  • um for it to go that high, does it land near you? or does the wind blow it away from you?

  • this is fake

  • holy shit man how high did that go?

  • You have just made my day, JetPropellerLabs. This is one of the best rocket videos I've ever seen.

  • wow GREAT video man !!!

  • haha 8mm ! i found a free 8mm on craigslist. hard to fix.

  • just a 'lil question.

how the F*ck did u found the rocket back?!

  • Comment removed

  • 7000 feet in about 20 seconds. not bad at all

  • That was a very cool video! Thanks for sharing it with us.

  • awesome!

  • yeah, that was fucking cool

  • Dude this is the most awesome rocket video on youtube!!

  • Thats good you were a part of an organization that does this, I figured reaching an altitude that high would be dangerous for aircraft in the area and require some sort of regulation. Sweet video :D

  • The side-facing video is great! I love the shot as it is passing right through the clouds.

  • Excellent footage, can I ask you what propellant was used for this rocket?

  • Great footage!

  • breath taking.

  • i love that split second of pure silence as the rocket reaches full apogee, thats fucking exciting

  • fuck me that's fast

  • AMAZING

  • Dude... fucking awesome

  • very cool! it got abouve the clouds in seconds!

  • 5 stars too ! VERY GOOD !

  • That was extremley cool!

  • 7000 feet? Holy crap! You went above the clouds! Excellent video! 5 stars!

  • Where did you mount the camera? I was thinking of putting mine in the nose cone to prevent the spinning.

    Tom

  • i saw the red thing and the flying saucer. any, thhis rocket went so high!

  • actually that was a frisbee

  • Holy shit that's all I can say wowiwowo

  • Congrats! Was totally worth watching it

  • This is great footage. I would like to see a slowed down version of this clip. Thank you for sharing.

  • Phenomenal video! The view of the clouds was fantastic. Probably the best on-board video I've seen for a rocket.

  • how high can it go please tell mee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • did anybody else see the flying saucer at 2:02?

  • 1:58 the red thing ?

  • its a baseball field

  • its falling slower than it went up

  • Jezus, what a pointless comment.

Even more pointless than my comment on yours...

  • how many motors did u use

  • awesome camera angle!

  • Turbulence!!!

  • wow how far did that drift?

  • It landed about 1/3 mile from the launch pad. We always launched from fields at least one square mile so it was still on the field.

  • nice. is it legal to get a rocket that big that high?

  • Thanks. You have to get an FAA waiver to fly a rocket heavier than 3.3 pounds. This was at a club launch and we had a waiver to 16,000 feet. This rocket weighs about 65 pounds so yes a waiver was necessary.

  • @JetPropellerLabs Does it matter in all countries the FAA?

  • @JetPropellerLabs Going to be easy to get one since I go to Aviation h.s. I really want to launch one this summer over 20,000 feet. Would you be able to respond if I have questions later on? Me and my friends are going to do a very similar project over the summer and we need all the help and info. we can get. I'll add you if you don't mind?

  • damn it was up above the clouds in 10 seconds flat! impressive...

  • goddamn.

  • random bug. 0:26

  • LOL!!!!

  • excellent job of keeping the rotation down to almost zero...well done!

    Andy (MC2)

  • wow that was pretty cool

  • wow, that was neat

  • That was damn cool! thanks!

  • I built the rocket from scratch. It was 7.5 inches in diameter and about 12 feet tall, and used an Aerotech M2400 Blue Thunder motor on this flight developing about 600 pounds of thrust for about 3 and a half seconds.

  • wow that was cool. I want to get into high powered rocketry. I wanna move on from my estes rockets to these big rockets. how do you recomend I start off with besides launching the cheap estes rockets?

  • See if there's a Tripoli rocket club in your area and attend one of their launches.

  • Totally cool. What brand of rocket? or self made? I live next to Estes Rocketry in Colorado.I know they have some high altitude rockets that are very expensive and you need the FAA's permission for launching. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • Estes rockets are not very expensive, do not fly to high altitudes, and can be flown in ones backyard (stock) without any permission. They are model rockets

  • The purple was where I edited the video to eliminate a lot of boring footage while the rocket came down on its drogue parachute.

  • 00:35 ?????

  • wut was that purple thing ? lol

  • wow that is fuckin up there man, im surprised i didnt see any airplanes fly by lol

  • AWESOME

  • nice soundsss

  • THAY WAS COOL!!!!!

  • that was fantastic! one of the best rocket-cam clips i've seen! i would have loved to make rockets that powerful while i was growing up, but the regulations where i live make it next to impossible, even just to get materials to make the engines. infact i will say that australian regulations are beyond a joke. if you want a good laugh, go and check what australian customs prohibit. the regulations we're stuck with prohibit ANY sort of fun! even airsoft products are banned.

  • Damn, And i thought it was bad in the UK.

  • LOL, When I finished reading your first sentence, I thought to myself, I wonder if he's talking about Australia.

  • The silence at apogee was eerie...awesome video!

  • So nice to see it go through the clouds!! Beautiful! Favorite...

  • holy shit that was high!

  • Oops forgot to add that this is one of the best rocketry videos I have ever seen.

  • Maybe next time cut a bigger hole! Your camera obviously can take a much wider view.
