I've got a 2.0 chev optra and that car just goes. For a stock car it's quite fast. I've hit 175 in it.

Bueno yo con un optra 1.8 acuerdo automatico le saque 180 a duras penas...xq acelera burda de lento lo q si tiene el optra es un buen manejo

optras are 2.0 litres i own one and i have an automatic tranny that'll hit around 60 mph in about 12 seconds too

i have a 04 optra. i can get up to 60k 3.3 sec

and 100k in 7.6 sec.

Thats with a 12 ench sub and a amp in the trunk.

sorry i can understand only spanish.. if yours cannot reach 160km/h, a 1.8 trust me, your cat must be blocked/ broken. Have it replaced! Or it will burst with a loud boom soon.. You'll think you laned in heaven. I have got a lacetti 1.4 5 door... what u call optra 5 I am replacing the air filter and ehuast soon. Good engines but wit stock airbox and exhaust it get poor throttle response.

Yep! I spk perfect italian, english & maltese. I can only read spanish but not write, but I can understand, fully, used to have a lot of spanish girl friends during summer lol. TThat's why. To the prev question, I meant replace your catalytic converter - referred to commonly as CAT. Can't you find a shop where u live. In Malta, every corner you find a custom shop. I consider my lacetti/optra an excellent cruiser & now 'm having a flowed stainless steel exhaust!

realmente no se como no llegaste a los 160con un 1.8, tuve en mis manos uno del 2006 llegue a 183 + o - y estoy a 2600 metros ( en Bogotá), intentalo otra vez, a ver si le falta recorrido, no puede ser que no llegue ni a 160

only air filter and new exhaust. but the new tyres 195/50 R15 slows me down (stock 185.60 R14)with the old tyres i got 10.7-8

Thats not too bad. The Optra with the 1.6 is kind of weak though, but still good. I've got an Optra with the 2.0 DOHC, and I can bury the needle past 220km/h. I think it'll do probably 230km/h, estimating. Maybe I'll grab a video of it, but it won't be any better quality than this, since I only have a cellphone cam too :P

Hola hermano, tu optra da mas, ese motor es mas rápido, aunque este stock, yo tengo uno que de 0 a 100 lo hace en 10 seg, en cuarta velocidad lo he llegado a 175 km por hora y en 5ta a 200 kmh, claro no esta stock. Lo he probado contra un bmw 323 y esta muy comparado
