Another Moon God is Chandra, from Hinduism. Interestingly Surya the Sun is also male in Hinduism. But then every God has a Goddess wife in Hinduism that is his Shakti or the source of his power. So it's got the balance but done a different way.
You cute bastards... lol. You don't know me, but I check in and watch your videos from time to time. I would say 'Keep it up', but that seems mildly taboo in this case so keep em' comin...er... nevermind.
Aww, I thought it was permanent. Good luck on getting together for good. I just moved to NC for good. Heres hoping you and Coty get to be close for good.
I am most certainly not projective, because I am generally more in tune with the receptive or "feminine" energies. Coty, however, is very much in tune with the Horned God "masculine/projective" energies.
OK So I know you don't believe in Christ. I do. But I don't want to think of "Him" really as a gender. Because in the end I consider "Him" a spirit. And I feel spirits don't project gender really so that they can appeal to both sexes.
We would most definitely agree with that. Like we said, most theologians would agree with you because God was supposed/does embody all of creation, including both physical sexes/genders.
Often times, we have heard of him being associated with the Moon. On the Wepwawet Wiki, which I believe is run by the Kemetic Orthodoxy, say he is historically often associated in that manner. He is a lunar deity, not a literal God of the Moon
Haha, I downloaded it from Frostwire as a meditation track, so the information I have may not be correct. I have it in my iTunes as Sacred Drums-Guardian Spirit.
KHONSU ;P Moon god, rawr. Anyway, I don't really associate the sun and moon with the genders... I consider the sun projective and the moon receptive because of the manner in which they receive their light, but I don't think they have to be strictly associated with the God or Goddess. Some female deities have a very projective energy (like Sekhmet) and some male deities have a very receptive energy (like Yinepu). Yupyup, fun stuff :D
...off-topic: I'm assuming Paul forgot to pack clothes? XD
[I packed tons of clothes, like 20 days of clothes...I just chose not to wear them ;P]
I agree with you very much, in terms of the seemingly contradictory energies when viewing deity in terms of Gender. From my dealings with various beings I know that just because something is a female in terms of sex does not mean they are passive and receptive. Sekhmet was a Goddess who drew me in as a young person, and I know she is certainly no docile cat XD
Hmm... I think maybe what it is, is separating masculinity and femininity from sex. Masculinity does not have to denote male, and femininity does not have to denote female. Every individual regardless of genetic sex has masculine and feminine qualities. So, you can have a goddess associated with the sun who may have some masculine qualities (that in and of itself being one of them), and a god associated with the moon who has feminine qualities. *random epiphany* lol ;P
Yeppers, and I whole-heartedly agree. We were trying to get people to think in terms of "Sex" and how limiting and often misleading it can be. We have these constructed views of male and female which need to be broken.
but in the original untranslated context there may have been no indication of gender. Although then again, God/Holy Spirit/Jesus/Whatever else supposed impregnated Mary, so that's sort of an indication of male. I like these tag team videos, they're a lot more exciting than the single youtuber video. So...the zombie invasion has started there?! What's your zombie survival plan?
I don't think anything even deity is 100% masculine or 100% feminine. If you think of it with a bit of a yin-yang prospective, in everything masculine there is feminine and vice-versa. I think in the Aztec religion the moon was regarded as masculine too. Of course it's not Pagan but in Judaism, Yahweh is a word that isn't bound to gender. I've been told that it is supposed to represent 6 genders or something. In Hebrew there is no indication of male or female, so they could be using the word he
We both pretty much agree. We, of course, see the Hermetic Principle of Gender as very important to our understanding of Deity and existence.
The idea of pinning something such as Sex onto beings seems to me, at least, just a way to allow humans to relate and understand them better. Of course, this is just my ideas.
Paul I can totally see where you're going. Honestly I don't think Wicca and Asatru really go together, as you say, they're pretty opposite on some matters. But you may be interested in a middle ground of Witchcraft in the Northern Tradition.
I am always very excited to learn! Sounds like I should do some extra research on Norse/Germanic Witchcraft!
This new path that I am creating is certainly one which will contain many conflicts which I have to evaluate, and as such it should allow me to really discover what I truly believe. If we don't come across the bumps in the road, we never know our strengths. Who knows, perhaps after I get through this Wicca will be a thing of the past to me. It is all very exciting.
you're totally welcome. i used to be wiccan too. i have a nice playlist, well a couple of playlists, about the northern tradition of witchcraft, check em oot!! xx
Thank you! XD I happen to like this pillow-talk style video as well. Hopefully, while I am here we will make a variety of videos, and post them on both of our channels. I think our next one is going on Cotyism's channel, so go check him out!
You guys are fun!
