Not being bitchy but minralised skin finishes are all about shimmer and shimmery veining, even the Dazzle glasss and eyeshadows are shimmery because that was the point in the collection...

Thanks for your comment. MSFs have differing levels of shimmer veining, which will cause certain MSFs to be more or less shiny. Also, within one MSF product, the product itself could be slightly more or less shimmery than the next exact same product just because the nature of the MSFs cause each one to be a bit different from the next. The MSFs in this release were noticeably MORE shimmery than other MSFs released in the past (in general), but of course this is just IMO.

Absolutely!! I actually filmed a tutorial this morning with the Assemblage quad...but the quality was not that good (due to weird lighting and shadows being cast in strange places on my face lol)...so I will re-film it hopefully soon!

And Sunny By Nature will be mentioned in my contouring and highlighting video coming soon also :D

Ok, so I went to MAC and checked out 'Colour Craft.' I was really excited to check our 'Assemblage' - but I didn't really like the colour payoff. I actually found a quad from Maybelline with the exact same colours haha! But thanks for showing us this anyway!

I agree with you completely...the payoff is just OK (not great), but I like the fact that I can carry around 4 colours in one compact when I go out or when I travel :) Maybelline is a great brand for eyeshadow!!

I think the Funky Fusion is better for summer (it's a nice vibrant pink), but I love Crazy Haute because it gives my lips a deeper blue-pink colour. It would be hard to choose one!! (Maybe that's why I bought both hehe)

I have never tried that foundation before, but if it is a mousse formula, I can recommend using a wedge sponge or a foundation brush / stippling brush to apply (to help it apply more evenly). Fingers would be okay if you are comfortable with that and if you wash your hands really really well before applying...but the application may not come out as smooth!

I loved what you said about the sweaty disco ball. I totally feel the same way. I think Triple Fusion (skin finish) is the right colour for me, but like you, I feel like it doesn't make me look shimmery so much as it does sweaty, and then I worry I look greasy. :( I really wanted to make it work too. Bummer.

Hehe you loved the sweaty disco ball comment even though it was kind of gross? :D :D :D Definitely the shimmery stuff has a tendency to settle into pores and make everything look...unattractive. I'm sorry to hear you couldn't make it work for you!! I felt the same way about the blushes...but I just couldn't bring myself to buy them if I wasn't realistically going to use them.
