I used 1/4" fan fold foam made by DOW its the same foam they use to insulate a house on the outside before they add the siding.
You can find it at Lowe's. There is another type of foam that is nicer but more expensive and it is called depron. I only use that on projects that I want a completed look too.
Yes everthing is foam, with the exception of the cam which is a PVC pipe. I had it running on the ground with a stronger motor but it stripped out the plastic gear box so I need to make a new one with metal gearing.
do you use foam because it's cheaper or easier to work with? a metal walker would be so awesome.
