  • Been up for 20+ hours dosed up on coffee and speed doing uni work at 6:30am, HA I'm living the good life!! Daylight got me when the Nightlight turned to morning!!

  • a$ap rocky is way sicker

  • @Jdb403og asap rocky is good but Aesop lyrics are just another lvl to genius! I really wouldnt compare any underground artist and say whose better their all unique and good in their own way.

  • "Beached in a city of lost barnacles and leaches

Nightlight got me when the daylight went to evening"

    best line in history

  • Daylight to night light

  • GODZILLA

  • i jizzed o.0

  • You won't be laughing when the buzzards drag your brothers flags to rags... you wont be laughing when your front lawn is spangled with epitaphs!(wont be laughing ...)

  • I can rap aesop lyrocs from memory

    fuck you

  • I really love this guy and his lyrics. How he writes in metaphors makes me come. I love hiphop<3 I had the complete wrong idea of it from generic label shit.

  • @Gawdlygawdgawd

    ...It makes you come?

    WTF

  • Killin it on all levels all day all night takin a song goin flipper with it and makin the new one drag its hurdles higher than the last.

  • Fuck yeah

  • There buffin the trains the same day I bomb em!

  • "Lifes not a bitch, life is a BEEATCH! "

  • "there buffin the train the same the day the graffiti writers bomb EM"

  • Absolutely sick rework...similar in concept to Dres' rework of Black Sheep's "Similak Child"...both songs - dope - almost the same lyrics, just different enough to throw you off balance.

  • "Or maybe you're just an asshole, or maybe I'm just an asshole!"

  • You know regardless which song is better, its still just so tallented that somone can rap in two diffrent perspectives and make both sound great.

  • mind blowing

  • there buffing the trains the graffiti writers bomb em...ill ass part graffiti never dies

  • beats sooo fuckin ill

  • This shit's legit nigggg

  • maybe your just an asshole... maybe IM just an asshole!

  • Life's not a bitch, Life's BIAAAATCH!

  • Songs that brainwash you and provoke you into doing what you do pt. 2

  • Godzilla!!! :O

  • I dig most of the production he has in his songs but I have to say the best was with Blockhead, like peanut butter and jelly man.

  • im just gonna remove all the dick comments bout how daylight (or nightlight) is better

  • @Dastompinata For the record, they are both excellent. I almost wish he would make a third song to accompany the other two.

  • real shit right here

  • real shit right here

  • i like thiiiis

  • Groovy fucking beat holy shit

  • Bah bah, Beat is sick.

  • nightlight with lyrics

    /watch?v=4aJdyfsiiEQ

  • Lifes Not A Bitch Lifes A BIOOOTTCH.!

  • maybe im just an asshole

  • Why even compete?

Just sit back, light one up and enjoy them both ;)

  • Who cares if Nightlight is better than Daylight. Aesop Rock kicks so much ass he can practically reverse a song

  • Play Nightlight and Daylight at the same time! You'll be blasted away by the crazy lyrics!

  • vibin' on this shit hard right now!

    Night Light got me...

  • Daylight Suckaahhh

    Both awesome tracks.

  • lyrics with aesop should be mandatory lolz

  • one of the best rappers ever... kid kudi, lupe.. bleh! got nothin on the fowler howler!!!!

  • i love how he made 2 songs but almost opposite lyrics. FUCKING GENIOUS AESOP ROCK

  • @homeboy9232599 right. But I like this one more than daylight. The beat, the lyrics, he fuckin slays and laces this trac

  • @vendeta912 i love daylight.. but this it's hard to compete

  • @homeboy9232599 i think the reason he did that is because he hates the song daylight, so he changed it. i saw in one of his interviews he hates daylight because so many people like it, and obviously he doesnt want to be mainstream

  • @TheHillBombers

Well, I'm pretty sure this is on the same CD, so I think it would have been difficult for him to say "I don't like how this song became mainstream, so I'm gonna make a retaliation". More realistically, I think it's just a play on day and night. Lyrically, it uses similar lines, but the lyrics in this reflect the opposite moods and themes as in Daylight. So Nightlight is the opposite of Daylight, much as Night is the opposite of Day.

  • @TheHillBombers Wrong

  • @VulgarityDivine oops, meant to vote up

  • There is two sides to everything, like day and night.

Life is never a bitch, but could be either a beautiful woman, or a BIATCH.

All on your point of view.

  • blockhead does it again

  • You won't be laughing when the blow-up doll has a headache and

    won't give up the ass!

  • cant beleive ive never heard this before! i love the inversion of the "life's not a bitch.." part. this man is a genius.

  • Comment removed

  • I get it :)

    fucking finally. haha

  • yo someone know a site or anything where i can read and ramble bout the meaning of aesops lyrics??

  • @MarksAwesomeness well im pretty sure their is none considering everything he says could have multiple meanings its like a rubicks cube with a missing color on every side

  • There's something really wistful about the music on Daylight. Nightlight sounds gritty and they upped the downbeat. Aesop is a fucking genius, and I say that with complete sincerity.

  • This one is like an inversion of Day light. Like at the beginning where he says he DID invent the wheel, whereas , in Daylight, he claims he didn't but he was the crooked spoke adjacent.

  • @MrRadaikon And "the h I stole from heritage" became "the g I stole from get the fuck up" I love this man so much.

  • Positive and Negative. I love it.. i gotta hear both songs every time

  • this is awesome

  • what album is this on? I only have one album...it has daylight on it, but not night light. I Love night light so more!!!!!

  • @meg1241989 You can find it on the Daylight EP.

  • I did invent the wheel.

    in a previous generation.

  • @supabeast23 ok maybe upbeat is the wrong word, daylight is just not as angry, it's kind of more gentle I guess? I dunno how to describe it, both the beat and the lyrics are less hard... I'm not making any sense and rambling eh?

  • @chef2b90 No, you're making perfect sense don't worry. :D

  • @chef2b90 True that. Time to listen to more Aesop Rock.

  • This sounds similar to Daylight. Is there a reason for that?

  • @ITGhexx it's the song after daylight on the album, it's supposed to be the darker, angry version, as opposed to daylight's more upbeat feel

  • @chef2b90 haha there is nothing upbeat about daylight.

  • @supabeast23 ok maybe upbeat is the wrong word, daylight is just not as angry, it's kind of more gentle I guess? I dunno how to describe it, both the beat and the lyrics are less hard... I'm not making any sense and rambling eh?

  • perect

  • loves it

  • fucking great

  • NIGHT LIGHT SUCKA

  • nightlight daylight nightlight daylight nightlight daylight nightlight daylight nightlight daylight nightlight daylight nightlight daylight nightlight all i ever wanted was to pick apart the day swallow up the pieces spit em at your species
