I always have considered Mr. Tomson an artist, as I do many others who carve their poetry into the beauty of the waves.

I have read comments complaining of his rudeness & conceit.

I don't imagine a single person who has commented in that manner even knows him as a human being, in the flesh, in heart & soul & mind.

As with any almost any master of an art form, there is a price to pay, if you will - a curse with every blessing.

This was a perfect & awesome video & I thank you for posting it.

Absolutely radical surfing. Look at those drops and how on one wave he barely spins out and pulls up under the lip. Beauty, guts, power, courage, grace, style, and speed: a product of his pure love of waves and surfing them. This is magnificent!!!

I remember ST years before I started surfing. There was no good surfer under the age of 17 and 99% were over 20 years old. Notice they are not trying to do tricks on small garbage waves (SoCal).

It ain't just SoCal brother.... Here on the East coast we get the same crap too. No fluid moves...clean lines. At least half the guys in the lineup get in the damn way with their B/S they cant pull off.

On the West coast it's 18 times more crowded. So when you see 3 people surfing the east, just think that it would be 54 people in the west surfing that one spot.
