kenponow, is still confused! "Thrusting Lance" also has the attackers arm on the same parallel line as defenders arm. Maybe you mean the line of attack and the line of execution are on parallel lines. But that's wrong also, because the line of attack in "Glancing Lance" is from 12:00 to 6:00, and the line of execution the parry is traveling is from 8:00 to 2:00.

I guess you just don't know what your talking about, BUT... you like to talk anyway. even if its bullshit!

your killing me here. "parry" is force riding force.

"Block" Is force intercepting force without the intent to hurt.

If we go with what you say ""8 to 2" it could not be a parry.

I can tell you never met Mr. Parker, he always thought it could be better. And as far as perfect I remember at a seminar Mr. Jeffcoats teacher "Mr. Tatum" told us that understanding is only based on what you have felt, seen or heard, so always try to expand. Even though I have never met Mr. Jeffcoats am sure he would also think that there is always room to improve. As far as the cursing it makes you look less then smart so please don't because I am sure there are children looking at the videos

Yes that Kata looks great, no buts.That chicken kick looks like it is hitting the groin or chest , dont know what that other guy is seeing? 10 feet tall really!

By the way the pattern looks prefect and the speed is great! Awesome Kata!

I think he has worked on the form very hard but, needs to look at the targets he his striking. Example Glancing lance is a knife thrust to the throat. or when he is doing the chicken kick in thrusting lance, he looks like he kicking someone 10 foot tall. A gain i think he has put a lot of effort into the form just slow down and work on the targets and floor pattern

Get you facts straight. Glancing Lance is taught as a knife stab to the middle section and NOT the throat.

There is Entwined Lance for the throat stab!

And by the way, the pattern is perfect, the kata ended exactly where it began. Stances are perfect, strikes are precisesly on target and the flow and speed... forget about it! I would like to see anyone do better!

it is to the throat. If it was to the mid section you would break several rules of motion. Just an example would be that your hands would be on a parallel line with his hands. If you were taught rules of motions you would know that is one of the most inportant ones not to break. I understand the need to protect your teacher. As my teacher Huk Planas tells me everyone can inprove on their tech.
