Anyway, there's more then a few more percents to go. Mato still has to finish the second draft, then a 3rd draft needs to be done. This, however, is fielded by a large group for more opinion, and will take longer. Then beta testing begins, then the debugging, and finally, a release.

So I believe it'll probably be a good few months or so...maybe in time for the holidays?

So... Lucas learns PSI, while Ness had them from the beginning. And Lucas obviously uses more PSI abilities in Brawl... It makes near to no sense. XD Ah well.

Thank you for doing a playthrough of this. I have no idea what's being said, but if all of your videos have that much in-depth descriptions, I think I'll be good. I've been wanting to play MOTHER 3 for so long haha... Again, thanks. =]

Technically Ness learns his PSI as well, but he does so through leveling up, rather than through EarthBound's storyline. This can be attributed to the fact that EarthBound has a much lesser storyline than Mother 3.

Why is the series called Mother. Of course makes sense for being called Mother 3 because its a sequel to Mother 2 and that Lucas's mom dies in the beginning, but why are the first two called Mother.

For some reason, Nintendo keeps hiding the GREAT Earthbound games from us American gamers. They don't seem to wanna acknowledge them too much. I'm surprised that Porkey (or Pokey) and Lucas made an appearence in Brawl, since they usually try to censor Earthbound from us! At least it seems that way. This Mother 3 looks AWESOME!

Yeah, by the way it wasn't that they didn't like EarthBound it was because the Sega Saturn came out that year and more people wanted to buy it but those who bought EarthBound enjoyed the RPG elements.

Yeah...I could understand some of the others like Fire Emblem...but I'm finding it hard to find reasons as to why Earthbound was taken out other then NOA hates it.

I mean, all it is is a ROM, right?

Probably they didn't have time to put it in Super Smash Bros. Brawl or it was because it was 5mins long they didn't want it to be that big of a demo. It doesn't matter you can't get that far in just 5mins.

@LinkFan999 I know your comment is old, but i got interested in mother 3 just recently and discovered some stuff about the cancelation of the mother re-release on VC. You see, mother and earthbound has too many refferences to other peoples work, like music pieces, names and appeareances. NoA even asked HAL lab if they could make some changes in the game (just like they already did in 1995) but they refused.

So, the main reasons for mother 3 cancelation on west are licensing issues.
