How is it that when Aster gets hit by Ain Soph Aur, but when Marta gets hit by it, that bitch lives?

To make it simple, Marta needs to live b/c of plot reasons; minor characters can burn in hellfire according to Namco Bandai. The technical reason, Marta is more stronger than Aster was b/c of her Ratatosk Core. Aster didn't seem to have an exsphere or any enhancer items equipped, therefore he doesn't have as high as dexterity as a person equipped with exspheres/Ratatosk core, etc.

Marta didn't have Ratatosk's Core in her forehead. It was fake, for reasons I won't explicitly say.

So, she has no excuse for surviving, just like she has no excuse for being able to use magic (and the same goes for her father, Commander Brute) due to the fact that she's human.

Also, I think all the original cast can burn in hellfire according to Bandai, too, because they don't seem to give a fuck about keeping them in character. Four words prove this:

Lloyd. Proposed. To. Lilia.

It may have being fake but it most likely had magical properties in it anyway due to Ratatosk's powers, that's my theory behind it.

Brute had Solum's core so that would be why.

The fact that this game wasn't developed by the makers of Symphonia or the original character direction wasn't headed by Kosuke Fujishima is going to mean Out of Character moments and huge plot holes.

Let's just say that, like Sheena, theres some elf-blood way back in Marta's blood line, OR that the fake Ratatosk's core gives her some magic ability.

the only way to end the fight in this is to use emils mystic art i think my battle with him lasted a lot longer and it ended at that exact same part when i used the mystic art.

Finally Ain Soph Aur. That move kicks ass. And Emil eventually returns back to his "normal" side. I feel so bad for the Ratatosk Mode, he doesnt feel wanted T-T I certainly want him ^^ hope he comes back soon. I wonder what happens when you return to Meltokio? Cape Fortress anyone?
