I really don't understand the whole huge popularity with Geno.  And that music video really ruined much of the wonder of the area for me. I always thought of this forest as a nod to Forest of Illusion from Super Mario World.

@strangerworksright He was actually one of the first ideas the SSBB team had, as you can see in the game files. (The name of beware the forest mushrooms appears but no song.)

However, Square (Now SquareEnix) was a bitch and didn't want him in. (SMRPG was a joint effort)

@SuperCrazyIdiot Actually the only music of the two mentioned and Super Mario RPG that was done by Nintendo was Zelda. Rpg was done by an in house Square composer, thus it's similarities to that of Final Fantasy at the time, and Banjo Kazooie was done by Rare, also he did music for Perfect Dark as well.
