What happened to this app? I have it, but now they only have sim city deluxe on the app store, and there is no option to upgrade to deluxe, it's like they took this game down, then added the deluxe version.

This isn't comparable to the most recent computer version. It's almost exactly identical to the third most recent version, SimCity 3000, except that the buildings disappear and are replaced by zones when you move the map.

I love simcity, but it looks pretty unresponsive.

I'm not knocking the awesome fact that there is a simcity game on iphone, but it seems like it could get frustrating with the choppiness.

@IggyZadr No it's as responsive as other apps, the main reason why it looks unresponsive is because he's using his fingernails to pinch and navigate which is the wrong way and could even damage the screen if he's not careful trust me I almost learn it the hard way

It was a little hard to get used to, because I'm someone who's only played simcity in the 4 era. For veterans, it's basically simcity 3000. Once I played it for a while, I found it actually had some advantages over the current simcity (the way stuff gets invented over the 20th century is AWESOME). Once you've gotten used to it, you'll find that it is not only addicting, but also satisfyingly challenging. You'll have to have real skill to be able to balance the budget and create a good city.

if it isnt time lapse the guys Iphone loads the game 5000 time faster than mine

and cool thing about this game port is that utilities dont need funding, but ther r still some bugs to be fixed.

and word of warnin, if u dont have 3GS iphone the battery can run out fast when playing the game and it will heat up a bit due to lots of number crunching

It's easy. Simply lower taxes, make sure that industrial/landfill/power plants are away from residential zoning and keep the crime/fire hazard/hospitals everywhere and people will come but only at the end of a month. It isn't a continuous flow of people.

Just jailbreak it, if something wrong happens, just restore it to the original firmware, apple will never know.

Thats because jailbreak only afects the iphone/ipod in software, not hardware, so when you restore it, it removes ALL the data, and put in the orig. firmware.

Just google or youtube it, and on the JB videos feel free to ask any question, no mater how dumb it is ; )

they probably made this review when simcity came out (V1.0.0), that version was indeed slow, especialy on large citys, and even sometime crashes

Thanks to game/app updates, the new version (v1.5.0) make it speedy and very stable.

Now is very smooth, and thats good about the iphone or ipod touch, they update the games until the run perfectly fine ;)

obviously your the turnip. iPhone's have inbuilt protection and it locks up your iPhone so your unable to restore or do anything with your iPhone, and the only way to fix it is by getting it unlocked costing AUD $149 onwards to $900 for replacement... and oh my it voids warranty, so you would have to be a dumbass to do it, Jailbreaking iPhone downgrades it anyway, gives you a few cheap shot app developer crap.... Not worth it in my eyes.
