@bashmo Slamball was pretty funny at first but then they took themselves WAY too seriously. The truth is anyone and I mean ANYONE in the audience could kick the crap out of those players in slamball one on one. But the second they televised the 2003 Slamball Draft it stopped being fun and you couldn't look at these guys with a straight face again. Clowns.

The second this happened their ratings dropped down to nothing because it stopped being fun. When the creators started talking seriously about "taking on the NBA" you knew they were finished.

NBA players are some of the most elite athletes on the planet, not just in terms of leaping ability, but strength and quickness as well. Wen you have guys who are more athletic than any single slamball player, it is not even a question. Of course nba players would come and dominate slamball.

The league had an expansion in their second season, which proved to be unwarranted. Also, I'm not sure who's idea it was, but for some reason, before the second season they transitioned from an actual hardwood floor to the hollow plastic tile garbage that was shown in some of the video. I used to love this show. At least I'm not bitter.
