russian are pussies... of course they did it... since when do russian officials take care of solving plane crashes? When a plane from Bialorus crashed in poland a few years back, they tried to save people, realized everyone was dead, and left the crime scene untouched. Thats why we suspect Russians, who most likely tweaked so much of the evidence. Pussies.

Who cares who did it? There are plenty of players on the world scene other than the Russians who would have wanted the govt taken out. The Polish Govt was friendly to the USA and that's reason enough for an "accident" to happen. Hint....maybe the next government won't be stupid enough to be Washington's patsy as regards to missile defense initiatives. The Russians were also blamed when Hitler burned down the Reichstag.

Yes, you're right. I do know shit. I only lived in Poland for a significant part of my adult life and had a Polish female companion the whole time. Very problematic, especially any of them born before 1980, as they have that typical Eastern European mentality in that they think we from the west have all the answers. They also think they're God's gift to (western) men.
Don't get me wrong, I love Poland and all things Polish - it's just a love/hate relationship.

most planes do not crash. period. when they do crash, it is most likely take off or landing, with the percentages split nearly down the middle. of the landing and take offs, fog plays a role. this is an unfortunate event, but statistically relevant.

Recently there was a similar case with Kaczynski and bad weather. It is said that Mr.President urged to land in Georgia while really bad weather conditions but the pilot refused and finally they had to land in Afghanistan. So its pretty probable that this time pilot musn't argue with Mr.President.
Russians really dont have any advantages of this catastrophe, it is rather a great problem for them now.

@separatemindz I think you are referring to when Kacynski wanted to land in Tblisi, and had to go to Baku in Azerbaijan not Afghanistan.
It was a bad idea to try to land at Smolensk with poor visibility, as Smolensk does not have modern ILS approach equipment necessary for landing such a large plane in poor visibility. It was also unwise to put so many VIPs on one plane. Most countries would avoid doing that. Niech odpoczywają w pokoju.

Pozatym we mgle bez specjalnego sprzetu nie da sie wyladowac bez duzego ryzyka (dlatego nie wolno). Troche inny przypadek od Tbilisi, gdzie wszystko zalezalo od polityki, nie od pogody...
