I think it shows that she is finally growing up by finally having someone as a part of a family but she still has the dark side with what he taught her about cleaning. best ending ever to a movie 100%
This is probobly my favorite ending in a movie especially with this song...it's flawless...I bawl my eyes out every time I see it...I can relate to haveing an adult lover at 12-16 and then loosing him. Young love dies so much harder for some reason...I can hardly watch this movie at times...it takes me back too far to when I was a Sherriff's son in the 70's in love with an alcoholic who was 31 and moving to Las Vegas with him @ 16!
