  • how many watts is your light?? thanks :D

  • @Purpleierdo It was a compact flourescent and a single tube powerglo bulb.

  • what is that thing on the very right of your tank where there are bubbles slowly going up?

  • @95rhinoriders A Nutrifin yeast reactor. Bubbles are CO2 for the plants that slowly dissolve in the water as the go up the ladder.

  • nice, I almost bought a group of these guys yesterday

  • very nice tank and bettas! you must be a very good fish keeper :)

  • Great looking planted tank!

  • what a noisy bunch of pumps!

  • CUTE! I love the botia!

  • Wow beautiful, beautiful threadfin rainbows! Can you please ask where you got those guys? :D

  • @DUHKK I got them at Blue fish aquarium in Michigan.

  • @bigrednut66 what kinda of filter are u using?crystal clear water!

  • @9912699125

Its probably all of the plants. Plants eat up a lot of wastes. My planted tank is super clear.

  • @BigolePappy2 oh....nice tank

  • Do you have a current in the tank?

  • whatta noise is it really that loud or just the video?

btw. pretty nice tank, I like your plats...

  • Thanks. I believe the noise is from the air pumps. There's 14 other tanks in the room with sponge filters, and the air pumps are a bit loud. Thanks for the comment.

  • 14 Tanks that explains all ;) my tank is in my bedroom and the sound is very quiet.

Is your Betta a Male? and do they get along coz Yesterday a bought some Amanos and I have 4 Bettas in my tank.

  • The bettas are a pair; male and female. They are a wild type of betta from Indonesia. Betta edithae is the latin name. Occasionally they can be found on Aquabid or through specialist breeders. I got mine through the local aquarium club I belong to in Grand Rapids, MI. They are actually mouthbrooders, with the male holding the eggs and fry until they are pretty well developed. Not as showy as Betta splendens but their behavior and breeding habits more than make up for a lack of color and finnage.

  • how beautiful! what are those fish with the long black ventral and dorsal fins? 5/5 ^^

  • Thank you for the comment; the fish are Threadfin Rainbows, (Iriatherina werneri).

Really neat fish and always active. The males have the long finnage, and display to each other constantly. They love baby brine shrimp.

  • thanks for the reply :) again, a stunning tank and fish!

  • i want to start a planted aquarium and i was wondering, is it necessary to have co2? im confused and i dont know how to get started on a planted tank. can anyone help?

  • you sound like i used to ^^ it's not a must. many planted tank enthusiasts use them to enhance the colours of their plants. if you're just a beginner looking to experiment, just add a little extra gravel and start off with hardy plants like java fern, java moss, elodea, cabomba, amazon swords, dwarf hair grass, moneywort, water sprite and more. good luck :)

  • Not necessary for CO2, but in this, my first experiment with it, I have found it helps with plant growth and color. For starting up I'd keep it simple, as piccuh suggests. I'd also highly suggest checking out your local fish club, a national club like the AGA (Aquatic Gardeners Association), magazines or web forums. A lot of the aquarium magazines have planted tank info and also list clubs by local in a special club section.

  • Good really
