  • How many of you know that your waist shouldn't be significantly larger than your inseam (about 3 inches) For instance, I'm 6'1" so my waist shouldn't be larger than 34

  • @jimmytube177 thats true , but most t.v type education sessions, dont really want to have to much info at once.

    this is a really condensed speech. thats why hes talking so fast becaus he has a time limit for his time slot on t.v. he didn't mention food on purpos, he just wanted to make a very quick point.

  • Eat mostly fruits and vegetables raw - Nuts/seeds - Exercise - Sleep - Hydrate yourself, 3L or more a day. Me, I still don't trust fluoride, so..really do your homework properly(not just on fluoride) and look at both points.

    And as you can see I didn't mention meat, milk, and other crap.

    And dont do these things, dont

  • @Dovepaw3 Waffles are practically cake. If you put butter on them, it's fat. If you have syrup, it's liquid sugar. Waffles are not good for you.

  • @Dovepaw3 Yes, Waffles are very healthy. Just try to cut down on the honey/syrup you add to it.

  • he forgets the most important part of losing weight, a calorie deficit. You can follow all of his tips but if you don't have a calorie deficit at the end of the day you won't lose weight.

    I have a very serious itchy skin issue, which always happened to me every single day after bath. No matter how cold or hot the water is, or no matter how i rub or not my body while bathing, i get serious itchy skin at the end. So my question is what causes my skin to become itchy anytime water touches it? And what can i do to get ride of that? Thank you.

  • @SuperArmstar change your cleanning product, specially if it has bleach even if it was a week ago when clean it will still cause your skin to itch.

  • Should I worry that I've lost 50 lbs in 5 months? I'm not trying to lose weight, but it keeps dropping. I'm 185lbs now so I'm not wasting away, but still a bit concerned. I was just under 240lbs in november.

  • @darkinmysilence are you still losing weight without reason ? that's never a good sign, go to your doctor

  • @darkinmysilence If you are losing 50lbs in 5 months and haven't changed your diet or exercise, you may want to tell a doctor. Might be a medical cause.

  • @darkinmysilence I am a nursing student, I would absolutely worry that you may have a thyroid or cancer problem. You should go to the doctor and be checked.

  • @darkinmysilence I'm not a doctor, but you should definitely see a doctor if you are having that much unexplained weight loss!! I know you posted this a few months ago, so I hope you already had yourself checked out!

Gluten and dairy is POISON!!!..we are all miserable and sick because of it!! kids have ADD and autism from it, and the food industry just wants us to consume more and more!!, and most doctors just want us to live off of pharmaceutical drugs that cure nothing!! hemp milk is great!

  • @impbev I have an almost no carb lifestyle. I eat lean meats and vegetables. The protein keeps me full so I really don't even think about eating cheeto's or donuts.

  • Dr. Oz, here is the easiest way to lose weight. No eating after 6pm. Feed from a salad plate. Eat greens, veggies and fruit over meats. EAT SLOWLY. Give your brain a chance to know you have eaten enough. Dont snack is the only DONT I have.

  • In order to lose weight you want to juice fast it raises your PH level and gives your body a rest from the meat its trying to digest. A juice fast is also going to give your body the nutrients it needs.

  • Not to mention that it can cause severe back pain as in my case where it pulled my back so far out of alignment and i need an inversion table on a regular basis to help keep my back in alignment and the more you get overweight the harder it is to exercise and the harder it is to lose.. I wish i wasn't disabled from Iraq i would try and try until i got back down to a healthy weight.

  • please help me doctor Oz. I'm from Portugal and our metric values are in meters/centimeters. I'm 1,77cm (i think it is a normal heigh) but my weight is 47Kg

    i know 1 pound is 0.4Kg so 47kg is 117pounds. what can i do to gain weight? I'm not anorethic, but i hate to eat. i don't like sports and i can't swim. i have Marfan syndrome and i have a problem in my heart (ascending aorta dilatation) not too serius though. PLEASE HELP ME!

  • Great video! Important to take into account that stomach expands when eating a meal of healthy, low-caloric-density plant-based foods and will change the waist size then. It's not always the belly fat. Could just be impacted waste in the colon as well.

  • Thank you for posting this DoctorOz, that is scary about the omentum(sp?) bulging up like that. The way you put it that it is poisoning the liver and other organs is something that will stick with me for a long time. Do you think the omentum fat is much harder to lose than other fat?
