I actually didn't go for his Brahms, but i do love his Shostakovich, I find him more moving than Oistrakh. We should hear more from Mr Kaler in Britain.
i had the luck get to do a master class with Ilya Kaler and he demonstrated some of the tchaikovsky concerto... everyones jaw dropped at his beautiful tone... he is amazing.
