Connor You are very talented. I think the next step for you is to incorperate vocals with the wonderful guitar playing. You have something about you that people love. I believe that will carry over to vocals. Many people don't like the sound of their own voice right off John Lennon for one. Don't forget that the voice is the most personal instrument. umm because they suck...way to stay on the pentatonic the entire time..you think you can win a competition by not being a technical musician, stephen showed udder musicianship..this is just a cool looping trick wihthe really easy playing over it

And for one thing, technical prowess is overrated. Guitar isn't just about speed. It's about the music and the notes you hear. Maybe he tried it in something other than pentatonic and it just didn't sound as good. And anyways, this wasn't in all pentatonic, but even if it was, what you said was irrelevant, because plenty of guitarists stay in blues scale or pentatonic on at least 75% of their songs...

Hendrix, SRV, Clapton...Slash. I could name more.

I agree completely. While it's important to have technical skill, quality musicianship involves much more. In addition to technical skill, a great song also has "listenability". Often, shredders are not very high in the listenability of their songs. Finally, a musician's presence is very important. Also, is hyenzane saying that stephen is a dairy farmer?
