Pearl Jam did a bunch of videos for their previous album. I Am Mine, Love Boat Captain and I Am Mine all have videos and those came out about 4 years before this album.
what i love is that even though he's so successful, I never hear anything about Eddie Vedder in the tabloids. that's one man who knows how to handle success.
my favorite line "I've seen the home inside your head, all locked doors and unmade beds" i know so many friends that line describes them, even myself.

Why couldn't Riot Act make a big impact on the industry and go twenty times platium like it should have? I like Ten, but it's at the bottom of list as my favorite albums from them. I'm not the same guy constantly listening to their grunge stuff more than No Code, I eventully learned to grow up from that mentality I was in, and started dig the new stuff.
Yeah your right - their new stuff is really good, its just marketed wrong - stupid videos and wrong singles. "Gone" should of been a single as well as "Inside Job" and "Camatose" same goes for "See My Friend" "Got Some" "Johhny Guitar" and "Supersonic" and Binuaral and Riot Act are probably their two best albums!!!
if you are one of those who really appreciate the grunge i will be honest with you superunknown, nevermind ten and dirt will be the more popular i will say now the most important records soundgarden:badmotofringer, nirvana: bleach alice in chains: self titled, and pearl jam: binaural
Anybody know the inside story about the shot of the pretty girl at 3:35? Some ones daughter or friend. All ugly image's in the video except that one...was wodering if there was a hidden meaning. Just curious. Awesome song BTW!
Not that much, and Pearl Jam has way more feeling, even if you don't understand everything that's said. Just feel the tune, like the song Yellow Ledbetter is supposed to be felt. I love Soudngarden but their sound is more repetitive. That's my opinion.
really? then give Superunknown a listen and compare it to Down on the Upside. he's a genius and Cornell can still wail, even though his new stuff is lame... his lyrics were amazing with SG, too. all of PJ's new crap is antiwar stuff.
im going to explain how ignorant you are. ed supports the troops. he supports them so much that he wants them to come home, alive. im so sick of ppl like you who think you know everything. pearl jam's music isnt crap to the billions of fans all across the world who love them. why do you have to come in here and piss on what us fans love??? if you dont like pearl jam then dont watch their videos. do some research before you go running your mouth.
i do like them doucher, i was just saying they get way too much credit. Soundgarden is just as good, and in my opinion better than them. it's just annoying how vedder incorporates his views in all their new stuff. "ten" is so much better than this it's not even funny.
i like soundgarden but i cant compare chris to ed. they have 2 completly different styles. i like that ed is so involed. at least he's trying to do something. he's not like all the other artists who are out there just trying to make money and thats it. youve got to look at the bigger picture. for me its better to voice your opinions and get your point across. and everyone says ten is their best album. after 20 yrs their music isnt going to be the same every album. they matured like everyone else
the great footstep ever make in grunge was soundgarden with down on the upside, it's because it doesn't sound so grunge and it's feel that is grunge for some strange reason, not the same with pear jam since no code the fans probably thought that they were not a grunge band at all when the sound dissapear in that album
this is one of the most awesome, disgusting, wierd, nasty music vids ever. puts marylin manson's 'the beautiful people' vid to shame in gross-factor. i think he uses all the creepy crawlies and faces stuck in horribly gross circumstances to reflect a life wasted on drugs, alcohol, and empty sex.

i thought i remembered this song being better than it is, the video is sick, and i dont mean that in a good way like some kind of skateboarder lingo or nothing, its just gross..
it´s on purpose. Two years after i´ve suddently got it.
