  • I was planning on sleeping tonight,

then I happened to watch this.

    Fucking sick (y)

  • Am i dreaming.. or is there a video for the song "Jeremy"?

  • great song, strong lyrics

  • Songs like this just remind me of how much Vh1 & MTV forgot what musics all about. cant wait for "MTV 6.8: Ok, It's Really Gonna Be Music This Time".

  • I Love Both the video and the music since it came out but i never found the video till now yeah!

  • the first time i saw this i was like ew and i've closed the tab, now i love it :D

  • I fucking love this video!!!!

  • The song and video seem incongruous.

    Still good though

  • Love this song.<3

  • epic video. pearl jam made a new fan today

  • this song is fuckin nasty, im so high

  • @xxshaddowxxtx woah, you must be really cool then!

  • looks more like a Tool video than Pearl Jam. great video though.

  • Pearl Jam did a bunch of videos for their previous album. I Am Mine, Love Boat Captain and I Am Mine all have videos and those came out about 4 years before this album.

  • For a band that didn't do videos for years. this is a mega huge spectacular video. Love it

  • Great imagery - great video & great song. When Pearl Jam get it right, they get it soo right. Kudos.

  • My initials for first and last name are PJ. So is Pearl Jam. :)

  • Soundtrack to my life.

  • I think I was 16 when I first saw this video, got me into them too!

  • RIP Johnny Ramone

  • Straight from the Peter Gabriel school of music videos.

  • Great fucking video. Reminds me of the videos in the early 90's

  • 31 people are

    lives wasted

  • @VAMPIRExGODESS HAhahaha yeh

  • what i love is that even though he's so successful, I never hear anything about Eddie Vedder in the tabloids. that's one man who knows how to handle success.

  • fuckin sweeet!

  • This video is so weird... But I fucking love it.

  • my favorite line "I've seen the home inside your head, all locked doors and unmade beds" i know so many friends that line describes them, even myself.

  • i had 6 years clean for me last spring. that's what this song means to me.

  • Great band! Pearl Jam rocks!

  • This video remindsme of Hellraiser :D

  • This is the shit. Awesome band, awesome music.

  • great damn rock song. weird vid. not sure i get it. but pearl jam is one of the best bands still.

  • this was for johnny ramone, but you could also say its about the icons of 90's grunge, Kurt, Layne, and Eddie, eddie is the only one still alive :(

  • @Braincleaner I would include Chris.

  • @Braincleaner and chris cornell,

  • @Braincleaner with SCOTT WEILAND & CHRIS CORNELL..

  • gah. where do they come up with ideas like this. I got a wild imagination, but I don't think something like this could ever be the result!

  • sick ass video

  • amo este video

  • this is one of those videos where you think how the fuck did they do that when you watch it amazing art direction great song as allways

  • this was written after the funeral of Johnny Ramone...great song

  • RIP Johnny Ramone

  • i really love pearl jam, but this clip s*cks alot....

  • Creepy video in an awesome way, the song is still the best of all.

  • its the best viedeo I ever see but its a litle to much for some pussys

  • dont like the video much, but the song is great

  • there videos are always messed up. Amazing band tho.

  • nice and i love pearl jam and all of his songs, they are naturall and talented.

  • I absolutely hate the video, but the song is epic.

  • I am never going back again........... ;)

  • R.I.P. Johnny Ramone..........

  • who is the girl at 3:35?

  • @TisaGiambico2

    does it really matter?

  • really not.. i've only done a question -.-'

  • @TisaGiambico2

    gnaahahahahah!

  • @MATvision

    ...

  • This is one of the biggest "you only live once" slap-in-the-face songs ever

  • Why did I get 3 thumbs down? I was positive.

I think this song reminds you to live without negativity and tells you not to waste your only chance. I have no idea why people misread it...

  • because most people here who like this band and idolize it are total idiots and narrow minded idiots.

that's why your message was misread.

  • umm...your comment is a bit rude...i like this band & i don't consider myself a "narrow minded idiot"...it's like saying that all rappers are ex convicts...looking at your channel...what if i say that yo la tengo & patti smith fans are all queers & feminists? which i'm pretty sure they arent...that's being a narrow minded square idiot right there...btw nice channel...like those bands save for mudhoney who are a one trick pony band...cheers anyway

  • sorry if you got the wrong picture about my comment i said MOST PEOPLE not all.

anyway, thanx for your kind words on my youtube channel.

  • awesome channel....cheers

  • I guess people didn't understand what you're saying.

  • @AFirmKickInThePants exactly thats what this song is about I mean think bout it dont waste your life on drugs smoking and live a full healthy life you know I agree mam

  • badbabybear listen to cinamon girl by niel young that is the first grunge song dude.

  • luv this song... hipnotized by the video... love Pearl Jam

  • this is going to give me nightmares FO SURE

  • it's a BEHELIT!!!

    BEHELIT ADVENTURESS!!!

  • this s the best video ever

  • @raindr05p I love Mexican Cumbia better, amor amor amorrrr, amor amor amorrrrrrrrr

  • @clenyn TU CHINGA TU MADRE PINCHE GRIGO PNDEJO NADIE T PREGUNTO

  • @raindr05p I must agree, very creative..

  • @raindr05p If I had a dollar for every time I heard that on youtube then I'd be richer than Bill Gates.

  • @LpCool19 I wish I could hear comments..

  • 0:05 looks spits of Michael Stipe.

  • this is such a good song and the music videos awsome!

  • i listen to old grunge and post grunge

  • Why couldn't Riot Act make a big impact on the industry and go twenty times platium like it should have? I like Ten, but it's at the bottom of list as my favorite albums from them. I'm not the same guy constantly listening to their grunge stuff more than No Code, I eventully learned to grow up from that mentality I was in, and started dig the new stuff.

  • Yeah your right - their new stuff is really good, its just marketed wrong - stupid videos and wrong singles. "Gone" should of been a single as well as "Inside Job" and "Camatose" same goes for "See My Friend" "Got Some" "Johhny Guitar" and "Supersonic" and Binuaral and Riot Act are probably their two best albums!!!

  • if you are one of those who really appreciate the grunge i will be honest with you superunknown, nevermind ten and dirt will be the more popular i will say now the most important records soundgarden:badmotofringer, nirvana: bleach alice in chains: self titled, and pearl jam: binaural

  • You cannot name one Pearl Jam album as the most important, Pearl Jam where Grunge's Last Survivors and has several masterpieces...

  • I'd say go further and check out some Mudhoney. After listening to them you'll get an idea of where grunge truly came from.

  • I was sort of hoping for a video that i could pull some more meaning out of. But.. I think i like this better

  • The lyrics are pretty point blank........

  • Eddie said it was about the feelings you have after a friends funeral...

  • I grew up listening to Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. They are both great bands!

  • @budogden Me too, These were the bands most importants about Grunge

  • @budogden Temple of The Dog is better because it combines both!!!

  • @budogden I agree with

  • @budogden haha me too i remember my parents blasting this shit, when i was 3.

  • That girl at 3:35 reminds me of the Black Sabbath cover.

  • Anybody know the inside story about the shot of the pretty girl at 3:35? Some ones daughter or friend. All ugly image's in the video except that one...was wodering if there was a hidden meaning. Just curious. Awesome song BTW!

  • Not that much, and Pearl Jam has way more feeling, even if you don't understand everything that's said. Just feel the tune, like the song Yellow Ledbetter is supposed to be felt. I love Soudngarden but their sound is more repetitive. That's my opinion.

  • really? then give Superunknown a listen and compare it to Down on the Upside. he's a genius and Cornell can still wail, even though his new stuff is lame... his lyrics were amazing with SG, too. all of PJ's new crap is antiwar stuff.

  • im going to explain how ignorant you are. ed supports the troops. he supports them so much that he wants them to come home, alive. im so sick of ppl like you who think you know everything. pearl jam's music isnt crap to the billions of fans all across the world who love them. why do you have to come in here and piss on what us fans love??? if you dont like pearl jam then dont watch their videos. do some research before you go running your mouth.

  • i do like them doucher, i was just saying they get way too much credit. Soundgarden is just as good, and in my opinion better than them. it's just annoying how vedder incorporates his views in all their new stuff. "ten" is so much better than this it's not even funny.

  • i like soundgarden but i cant compare chris to ed. they have 2 completly different styles. i like that ed is so involed. at least he's trying to do something. he's not like all the other artists who are out there just trying to make money and thats it. youve got to look at the bigger picture. for me its better to voice your opinions and get your point across. and everyone says ten is their best album. after 20 yrs their music isnt going to be the same every album. they matured like everyone else

  • the great footstep ever make in grunge was soundgarden with down on the upside, it's because it doesn't sound so grunge and it's feel that is grunge for some strange reason, not the same with pear jam since no code the fans probably thought that they were not a grunge band at all when the sound dissapear in that album

  • i wish i understood what you're saying, or why.

  • Have you actually read any of cornell's lyrics to any of the songs he wrote?

  • Song reminds me of Bleed Together of Soundarden

And video aesthetics is very Alice In Chains

    Grunge Rulez

  • this song is sick...but this vid kinda creeps me out a lil....

  • beautiful stuff with a message

  • this is one of the most awesome, disgusting, wierd, nasty music vids ever. puts marylin manson's 'the beautiful people' vid to shame in gross-factor. i think he uses all the creepy crawlies and faces stuck in horribly gross circumstances to reflect a life wasted on drugs, alcohol, and empty sex.

  • This is one of the coolest videos PJ ever made! Right after Jeremy and Do The Evolution!

  • don't work the way they meant it.i still wasting and encouragin from this very song.just sayin..

  • this song was fun to play on Guitar Hero II.

  • lol at 0:14

  • "backing" was the word I haved to write in to comment, and the lyrics says " I am never going back again". Wonder if god try to tell me something...?

  • not since 8 years, there was the video of "I am mine" and "Save you" in 2003

  • agreed

  • it´s on purpose. Two years after i´ve suddently got it. This song is about the suicide, the dead of somebody you love who decided to died, so in the video they show what happened to corps when they are burried, you know, with all that degradation and that. I knew that cause I wanted to die, and I saw the video and I understood it.

  • oh, i figured it did have some meaning behind it, pearl jam is a pretty smart band.. why did you want to die, and you don't anymore do you?

  • becouse theraphy works

  • When was this video made?

  • 2006 i think

  • This video is awesome! One of their more creative videos along the likes of Jeremy and Do The Evolution.

  • its real trippy!

  • great nice!!!

  • the vid is kinda disturbing. the bugs don't help

  • keep ur opinion to urself ;)

  • I would if I could just get ur mother off my dick...the bitch just can't get enough of it ;)

  • fucking amazing song!

    2nd best grunge band ever

  • what's the first

  • so nr 1 ? alice in chains ?

  • y whos first?

  • miles davis hated the therm "jazz" & sonic youth hated the therm "grunge"....so fuck it....its just good music

  • This is buggin' me out.

  • This is one of the best videos Pearl Jam ever made!

  • This is a crazy video!

  • Damnitttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt Love this!!!!

    Al Razutis

  • Technically this and thecnically taht......it is NOÖT their first video in 8 years. Simple as.

  • what is this vid about??

  • It is Pearl Jam it doesn't have to have a meaning

  • the slow decline of third world economies.

  • Love this song, have since it was released... The video is a bit creepy though.

  • Saw them in Manchester. F*cking AWESOME!

  • GREAT SONG this n hail hail , n rear view mirror r my faves. at least threir an honest band , have tp respect that

  • woooo, releaaaaaaaaaaase

  • my favorite song of all time by pearl jam :D

  • Creepy ass video, but I love it

  • you think this is creepy try watching a tool video. love the song btw =D

  • This was not Pearl Jam s first video in 8 years!!!

  • technically yes, as riot act's videos are live recordings of the tracks, not a music video properly, the music video use the original audio of the song of the album in form of pictures, actually all the videos which are live recordings are and aren't a music video lik4 the creativity of make music video don't record a live version of the songs

  • does anybody else find this video cool... but odd ahah

  • ekm25, you dropped your pocket!!!!!!!!!!!

    P.S.

  • very funny

  • only good song, you've gone funny

  • I think you're REALLY lost..only good song? please first research and then speak...

  • I love how they blended art and music in this video! Plus, there's no speacil effects! It's all organically made!

  • This album blew me away and this song and video are awesome.

  • funny comments from u buddies...hahaha..cool...damn...listening to this song again and listening to "the fixer"....this song and this album (pearl jam) rocks!! im so afraid the new albums not gonna rock :( ..since its influenced by "bruce springsteen"...eddie vedder's blame!!!fuck....we want some grunge music eddie!!! im so mad...fuck it

  • how do u know it's influenced by bruce springsteen

  • i have read it...plus eddie loves bruce's music :S
