oh! lol i forgot all about the vid. Yes, I agree completely! I would also like to add that as long as so called "religious" people believe that there will be an end to this world, there will be one. Most likely a man-made one as things are going right now... Man will never truly be "civilized" as long as there are religions around to poison our minds. I am not saying however that a god does not exist.
The rabbit hole et al are nice theories but nothing more than an exercise of the imagination since we would have to negate the fact we live in a physical world. No matter how well we may appear to be connected we are still just as much if not more not connected. This is shown in our constant willingness through out time to divide ourselves in groups from millions to a selected few and everything else in between.
Ever heard of the butterfly effect? Of course an H bomb dropping in one place is not going to kill people on the other side of the planet as a direct result of the explosion, but yet we see that throwing a rock in a pond sends ripples throughout the whole surface. In the same way the ripples from one event travel outwards until all is effected. But even deeper than that: considering quantum entanglement, we see that any one thing directly effects all other things at once.
Yes, but we DON'T see the whole surface rippling simultaneously or eternally, as would occur if your hypothesis was correct. Things effect one another and sooner or later the causal chain reaches everything, but that doesn't mean it all happens at once and there is no reason I can think of to think so.
What you see is an illusion. You do not see reality as it truly exists. Quantum physics has proved already that what I say is true, it is old news. Catch up lol you're behind the times!
Who said anything about surviving alone? If we did not have our ego, selfishness or need to survive we would not need to work together, ( that is the equilibrium). This is not complicated. However we can never truly work together in a global fashion until we give up the idea of nationality, this is where our group ego or selfishness fails us all.
"more" is too broad of a term since it can be used so differently depending on the situation to be tossed in a catch phrase and hold any meaning.
but for the Ego "more" is the only term...that is interesting in:) and not the real wellbeing of yourself
and until "give up the idea of nationality"...the people let the ego taking over them, so they can`t get along and work really toghether for a true eficiency and the benefit of all, not in countrys and smallers groups.
More exercise, more family time, more sleep..for the real well being of yourself. The ego can also demand less making "more" not the only term, (less accountability, less tolerance, less stress, less responsibility).
We can and do work together in groups, cities and countries already however in doing so we gain a false pride of nationality which is one of the main causes of war, (there are over 100 wars humans are engaged in in the world today).
That's true, anticipated events have an effect on present events. This doesn't mean that causality is narrow-minded, it means that causality is complicated.
no not complicated, quite simple. Everything that happens effects all things at once throughout all space and time. And all that has, is, and will be, already is.
Can't say "simple" and then "all encompassing web that has simultaneous effect on everything throughout time and space." Those two are mutually exclusive.
There's more to interdependency than this dislike for selfishness. It applies to all phenomena. Everything in the universe has causes and effects, and depends on the rest of the universe for its existence. Causality is an all-encompassing web.
I like the use of driving in L.A. It's so true! The clock is responsible for road rage! :D
