ninjin DO NOT use katana - katana is for unmounted samurai or military. As mentioned below samurai are nothing to do with ninjin and the wooden practice curved blade is a bokken.

@blink180heights Umm no they don't. A katana has an upward curve with the apex half way along the blade. Mounted warriors used a downward curve with a sky to ground draw over the horses head with the apex half way the length of the entire sword. It is doubtful if ninja ever really existed in the folklore sense we see them portrayed but allegedly they used a shorter and straight edged blade.

@austinhh132 Foolish. So are you implying that samurai had battles with ninjas? You'd be so far from truth if that were the case. Ninja were merely assassins for their lords, which is reflected in their martial art style: fast, accurate, hidden. It just takes a little bit of research, not coming up with some fantasy story.

@dmtau It not fake style. This is the old KENDO! The first position they did is called "Chudan no Kamae" and then the one to the right switch to "Hasso no Kamae" And the one to left switch to "Waki gamae". So you dont say this is a fake style! Kendo is an old style that started to envelop in the 1700 century (year = 1600).

The Samurai in the video was sent on a mission to kill his friend, but was unsure of his skills.

So he tracks down his old Kendo teacher and asks for any secret ways to win.

The old teacher (Now retired) teaches him this move where you turn your back to the person...
