  • God, this BMT is... Vanilla. Navy bmt isn't even this relaxed. That being said, it is on camera. I wonder...

  • Man, my BMQ and SQ were brutal....... I wish this was my course :P

  • yup Friday 6pm - Sunday 6pm are days off after the first 5 weeks, so long as the platoon isn't Confined to barracks, which will happen at least once in the weeks after the first 5. There are also positions in the Platoon that cannot leave the floor/base.

  • They get days off? amazing.

  • @NoDestinyLive4Now Weekends after the Indoc period at St Jean , are the recruits own ,. .. but they can very easily be taken away... its a privilege and it is earned haha

  • @NoDestinyLive4Now After the 4th week they have the right to go home on weekend but if someone fucks up too much they might have to stay

  • "you won't be in that video cause you are too ugly"

The french-canadian accent made it even funnier.

But I noticed... This military base seems to be located in Quebec because of the accent of many officers. Are they solely speaking English even in the Quebec bases?

  • @LeVraiJerry they are speaking solely speaking enlish to the angolophones the francophones recruits speak in french

  • @LeVraiJerry Every Military base in Canada , is both English, and French.. Welcome to the Bilingual army

  • They're just learning, Warmenko seems to be a bit nervous but she'll do fine.

  • Just a bunch of kids,, they;re learning and they'll do well..Warmenko seems to be motivated. she'll do well.

  • much different then when i did it

  • canadian soldiers really are not under pressure are they

  • @SuperDavidlyon this only shows the highlights not what it is actually like at all...we canadians turn out some of the best soldiers in the world sue to our training

  • lol i had my corn flake on my beret day one.

  • @persiasand dare i ask how you managed that one? lol

  • Sgt. Roy was my drill Sgt. He was cool, tough but really cool.

  • why did they look left when they saluted?

  • @fezaz1 If you listen to the command, he is being told 'to the left, salute'

  • I will be joining the forces in a couple of months. I simply cannot wait! These 3 years of intense training will have finally paid off.

  • you are training before you go to the recruitment school?? if so how? more than anything physically right?

  • which regiment are you joining ? anywhere in nova scotia?

  • im joining in kentville, where are you

  • "You will not be on that video because you are to ugly" lol

  • lol why did they do that

  • @nekkid123 that comment if were made by an english dude would not have been as funny in my opinion...my sister said sometimes it was hard to take the french instructors seriously at times because of the french accents....lol only in the beginning...just as a passing thought i cant wait to get in

  • Waremko, is my wifes cousin and i just realized it.. jesus christ what a small world...

  • your cousin in law is very tough girl! awesome!

  • @trooper744 Haha, Weremko is my friend from high school's older sister.

  • @trooper744 how is she doing in the military now? she's pretty!

  • @trooper744 Weremko and her sister are hot.

  • as far as RMC goes, all three of the older brothers attended RMC, im sure cadets and reserves help, but your 16, you might do 1 year or so in the reserves before grad from high school, and only days after u grad you will go to basic officer training. i would recommend staying in shape, volunteer work, if you play team sports thats a good one too, keeping good grades in school and stay out of trouble!!!! its tough to get into RMC, so stay true and be confident

  • whats RMC? Royal Military College? like to become an officer and what not?

  • Thanks a lot for your help :)

  • Thanks a lot for this series. I find it very helpful. I was wondering though, would joining the reserves help with my chances of getting into Royal Military College? I am currently 15 (turning 16 next month or so) and I'm debating whether I should join the reserves or the cadets.

  • Thanks.

  • what sizes do the uniforms and berets come in?

    Anyone know?

  • They have uniforms for the tallest, fattest, shortest, smallest, and everyone in between.

  • They measure you for your uniform, so therefore it comes in your size

  • i have a question. Im 16 right now and am in the army cadets. My plans are to stay in cadets right now and do para next spring and summer and earn my wings. But i also am thinking of quitting cadets and joining the reserves but i still want to get my wings. Do you think it would be easier to just stay in the cadets or join the reserves and i dont mean easier training because i know its the same but like easier to apply.

  • holy crap that brings back memorys. it was 12 and half years ago i did that crap. its changed a little but not that much. man do they have it easy as far a weekends off go. In the hole time i was there we got one weekend off. MAN did those drinks taste good.

  • I'm goin to Reg Force... June 22.

  • does anyone know where recruits go on the weekends?? i'm gunna be goin June 22 to start BMQ

  • lol the CPR tester sounded realy nice

  • Oh yeah! Lovin' the cornflakes!!! :)

  • Can't wait to get sworn in. I've been waiting for 12 weeks and two days...

My advice to all prospective recruits, sign-up early, and don't be surprised to wait 10 months for confirmation from CFRC Victoria

  • when do you take the drug test? as soon as you go in? i had some old bad habbits but that's in the past now...

  • I should be getting sworn in, in the next week or so and get to basic around the end of March, I'm hoping. I applied at the start of December.

  • i did a 10-11 week IAP at st jean, for reg forces and finished succesfully, then I VR'd and now im going back for reserves (navy) at victoria, i hear the botp and iap courses are done in the same summer now, how is the cfb esquimult course?

  • CanadianArmyNews, I have a question. I am interested in joining the Canadian Forces, but right now I am using custom made orthotics that help the low arch in my foot. Would I be denied into the Canadian Forces if I have this problem? It is not flat feet, simply a low arch that needs orthotics. Thanks.

  • hell no u wouldent have no problem.....like maybe as much of problem as anyody els has ya know kinda fat, outta shape, smoker, eats 2 much of the wrong kinda food things like that
