  • stupid motherfuckin' kid

  • Trains, Don't Explode!

    Take Amtrak!

  • there are too many air crash, i can't imagine it!!!

  • 2:09 XD shes first like :). then she was like :S now shes like :O

  • I'll stay put on the ground thanks.....would rather watch a crash on the news, than be sitting in a seat of a liner going down. Something about being engulfed in burning jet fuel as the fuselage is getting ripped to shit, just doesn't appeal to me too much. Not very comforting knowing how old some of these planes are either.

  • @TheGreasepit Have fun getting killed in a much-more-common car crash, where there is no investigation.

Also, driving a car to faraway places like Hawaii sure takes a while, doesn't it? Oh, wait...

  • 0:31 HOLY CRAP!!! THE GUY WAS HOLDING ONTO THE COCKPIT WITH HIS FEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WHERE IS THE AIR CANADA AND TURKISH AIRLINES CRASH?

  • aircrash.ucoz.net

  • Well these are less likely to happen to us now

  • the crack was already there for Japan Airlines before they investigated 123 0:55

  • kid in the cockpit could so have been avoided!!!!

  • @pogogal17

Yes it could have been. However, the plane model was brand new and it had a wonky auto pilot system. The kid tilted the control and disengaged the autopilot. There was no clear indication that that autopilot had been disengaged and so the pilots figured out what had happened when it was too late (If I recall correctly).

  • 1:37 Heh, I guess you can pretend that airplanes are like shooting stars.

  • Aloha 243 0:01, British Airways 5390 0:16, Aeroperu 603 0:35, Japan 123 0:53, Aeroflot 593 1:11, DHL 2003 Baghdad Attack 1:22, Air France 358 1:51

  • @ariwcharles I know.

  • @ariwcharles very correct.

  • I fkn hate that kid

  • @clap4makkapakka123 lol, I know what your saying.but it is not his fault, everyone in cockpit is to be blamed.

  • i have seen the episode XD

  • i have actually been in cockpit when i was 8 years old or something. back in those days when kids were allowed to visit there if captain allowed. it was pretty cool. at least i realised not to touch anything

  • @lalli90 On a SWA 737 flight a couple of years ago, they offered to show my family around the cockpit. My child sat in the captain's seat, and was told to look behind him at Daddy, stick one hand on the yoke and the other hand on the no. 1 engine throttles. "Daddy" was looking around the cockpit thinking of United 585 and USAir 427 (not that I should have been worrying about them)

  • Man,I absolutely LOVE this series! I love documentaries about disasters!

But here,I'd like to say something else...The girl at 2:12-2:13 looks AMAZINGLY hot!!!

  • Speramm buuon.

  • Hey you could've added these:

The plane that wouldn't talk: burginair flight 301: A wasp

blown apart: Partnair flight 394: 3 spare small airline parts

Ghost plane: Helios flight 522: 1 switch

Concorde: Air france flight 4590: a strip of metal

Who's at the controls: Eastern airlines flight 401: a 12 dollar light bulb

  • @dtaylor971 Totally. Poor Concorde! They lost everything because of that!

  • i can think of heaps more crashes that couldve been in this video

  • Can you imagine being alive and going through that crap.

    Holy shit.

  • @mrceebees14 Omg that would be fucking scaring.

  • @RoseBlossomGul Ironic, it just happened with that 9 year old boy who survived that plane crash in Africa.

I don't think they have told him yet, but his entire family is dead.

  • @mrceebees14 You'd get a lot of councelling after it, same with train driver's after hitting somebody in the track's.

  • that kid didnt know anything about a plane!

  • @rayyancooldude98 i know! the only reason he was there because his dad was the captain

  • this is why u shud neva let a kid in the cockpit

  • Comment removed

  • scared

  • good thing Aloha 243 didnt suffer like the BOAC 781 (Comet 4) cuz if the cockpti ripped out, GAME OVER

  • @AndyMcArren1356 the comet roof ter off clip off a part off the elivater the (crew where probily dead or unconces to react) tail blow off wing tips broke copit seperated ans the back of the engins broke off as the middil sec egnighted in to flane.

    (wow that was long)

  • Who let that kid in the cockpit?!

  • this just shows how fragile our planes are, flys can fly after dogging swatters yet planes crash when a bit a tape is stuck on the aircraft?

  • I think more likely a piece of tape covered up a problem so it wasn't fixed... Or was it a pressure thing?

  • the tape covered a instrment making the aircraft make false warnings. soon the pilots could not distingush true warnings and false warnings. thus the aircraft crashed

  • WTCHME, the tape was placed over either an airspeed indicator or some other device on the outside of the plane during maintenance and was never removed, causing faulty readings in the cockpit.

  • @pelagic6 the aircraft wuz aeroperu 603 and the tape covered the altimiter (the thing that shows ur altitude) and it blocked out the pito tubes ( speed indicator) which led to faulty readings and thats why they crashed

  • @18p324 the plane with the bit of tape was able to fly, the people flying weren't able to fly with the piece of tape, planes are actually very sturdy, i mean that aloha plane flew with the ceiling missing, an f-15 once landed with one wing

  • what i ment was how small mistakes coupled with human erorr cause accedents. i never ment the aircraft structure itself.

  • aircraft is more delicate. a small piece of tapa covering sensors can lead to a disaster because the pilots and onboard computers cannot receive correct information from the censors.

  • I´ve saugh this one last month!

  • Piece of tape..sad

  • Aeroperu 603 is scarier than Birgenair 301, even though Birgenair 301 violently spiraled into the sea. Aeroperu 603 is scarier.... The most scariest thing is you don't have correct altimeter readings

  • Id play bingo with them on the plane to calm them down, for example.

    number 10 oxygen

number 3 we are well above the sea

    number 4 watch the door

and on its own this fucking parachute

and up the airplane blind pilot!

  • Those people should remove the tape to see how high and where they are.

  • what david learmount said is true. though i was afraid of aci the first time i watched it, i got used to it after "exploring" it more. there's nothing wrong with being afraid. learmount just wanted to stress that this show, their work makes us humans safer. but yes, the slightest mistakes can be the downfall of hundreds of people... that's why we humans should be careful of what we do...

  • all survived that crash.yeah yeah chinny reckon

  • not all survived i saw the whole video and and in aloha 243 THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT CB FAIRBANKS GETS PLUNGED FROM THE AIRCRAFT AND HER BODY WAS NEVER FOUND

  • I would attribute 90%-95% of plane crashes as due to human error. Whether it be a pilot, mechanic, or the upper corporate management making poor decisions, it always comes back to the human. Albeit bird strikes, that is a small percentage that actually brings these aircraft down. If one looks at Air force one, the presidents plane, it never has problems because it is taken care of so meticulously by mechanics and anyone that has to do with the airplane.

  • All engines fail, Aviance air lines and AeroPeru are the most astonishing cases.

  • i ive seen every aircrash investigation and all or most of them are due to human and mechanical failures

  • Anyways this is showing that if even .1 percent of the airplane is not ok or if its only 99.99 percent ok it can still result into a devastating crash.

  • no he didnt actually fly the plane it was in auto pilot the kid just pulled and turned the stiring wheel too much to the left making the plane going down the only thing the captain should have done was only to release the stirring wheel and the plane would fly normaly again

  • How on earth can you let a kid try flying in airplane?!

letting in the cockpit is still ok, but let him fly?!

  • No, they let him sit in the captain's chair, the autopilot was on and he disengaged it by playing with the controls too much.

  • what a dumbass kid!

  • I fucking lol'd at "kid in cockpit"

    explosion

  • air emergency

  • Do anyone know were I can buy this whole series?

  • look at the site of National Geographic.

  • what was the one at 2:11 - 2:20 ?

  • Miracle Escape

  • Is Miracle Escape....

In 2005 a Air france plane lands in Toronto Pearson Int' Airport but crashes outside the airport. All passengers and Crew survive

  • all survived? plz be right

  • Yeah, all survived watch the episode

  • I can't remember what the episode is called but it is an Air France plane that overshoots a runway in Canada

  • I think it`s called "Miracle Landing".

  • No wait,it`s "Miracle Escape",featured in this video.

  • than wers the $12 light bulb event ?

  • You mean Who's at the controls/Eastern 401 and idk

  • my favourite ones are blow-out, crash on a mountain and wounded bird and wounded bird is a very sad strory like mid-air collision :(

  • Shit plane wont tell right information

  • What the heck is a kid doing in the cockpit????? Oh my gosh!! I didnt knw that would happen!

  • Woah.. What is the one called where the man is hanging at the front of the plane??

  • The caption on screen said it was called "Blow Out".

  • The crew hung on to the pilot at 34 seconds he lived...Watch the episode wild ride for him for sure

  • omg on 0.34

  • Yeah what happened?Did he get sucked out?or didnt he have his seatbelt on when they touched down? And was the co pilot hanging on to his legs to keep him in?I dont get it.Thats crazy.

  • The window broke away about 30 seconds after the captain took his seatbelt off. He was saved only by the fact that his legs got caught in the yoke (unfortunatly putting the plane into a dive), and the Flight attendents grabbed onto him when they saw him. The Co-Pilot had to fly the plane back on his own, and the Pilot was rushed to intensive care (nd still survivedd!)

  • Thats one of the craziest things ive ever heard! It looks like a spoof at first glance, like it could be in the naked gun or something.Poor bloke, atleast he still has his life, and of all the ways to be saved!By getting your feet caught in the yoke(thats the steering thing?)and casing the plane to plummet,is that lucky or unlucky?WTF!suppose its very lucky!

  • Yes, the yoke is the steering thing. It' very lucky, as at that altitude he wouldnt have much air, and if he hadn't pushed the plane into a nose dive, it's likely he would have died from Oxyegen Starvation

  • i think it's better that he didn't wear his seatbelt because probably the whole seat could've been blown out... but i think that's impossible

  • I reckon! That has to go down as one of the narrowest escapes in history.

  • let everyone who died on an air crash, rest is peace...

  • The pilot who let his stupid child control the airoplane deserves to rot and burn in hell.

  • i can see where u r going with this. but if i had a child i would let him sit in the cockpit at least... not control the plane thats a didffernt story. just buy a cessna really...

  • He didn't let the kid fly the plane - it was on autopilot, so the kid only thought he was flying. The autopilot was switched off somhow (I can't remember), and they never realised that the kid was actully flying the plane.

  • The autopilot turned itself off because the captain thought that the autopilot controlled rudder but as he used the rudder it turned off and the inputs into the colum span it out of control

  • let everyone who died on an air crash, rest is peace...

    copy and paste

  • let everyone who died on an air crash, rest is peace...

  • oh my fucking god a kid in the cockpit !!! was that true ? and...flying blind, omg !

  • first1 was on the other day

  • i seen all these eps

  • it isn't funny :@

  • wat r u "lol"ing at, its not even the slighest bit funny that 75 ppl lost their lives!

    >:(

  • What i can't understand is why people can't type like civilized people. Not like some inbred yokel you can't type correctly. Sure hope you don't type like that at work or on your resume.

  • It shows your level of intelligence with that comment. Your name doesn't help either...What the man was saying is that after every air crash an investigation takes place (IN REAL LIFE - NOT JUST THIS PROGRAM!!!) and new procedures take place to prevent the same thing happening again. Now who's the dick head?

  • fuck that guy at 1:28 !!

  • @killman

    its from mircale escape

the plane is an Air France Airbus A340

  • thx brrn looking for that one

  • what episode is at 2:11-2:12

  • it is the episode miracle escape

  • Air france crew did an amazing job!

  • what is the one with the DHL over baghdad called great vid btw

  • DHL attack over baghdad

  • kk thnx

  • wELCOME

  • great video

  • when the man started talking at 1:54

    just stopped my heart pounding!!!

    i still like planes

    thank you :-]

    i love these series

  • airoplanes are the safest way of travelling belive it or not!

  • ...just because not everyone on this planet can afford a ticket or simply dont want to see other continents, that's why are the safest.

  • The statistics for plane crashes are very low. You are more likely to die driving to the grocery store than a plane crash. Unlike cars, planes get safer each year.

  • relax...

  • My heart goes out to all the families that have lost loved ones in air crashes its an horrific thing to happen, i feel so sad for the pilots mostly the ones in which case it wasnt their fault like the JAL flight and Alaskan airlines one theye did everything they could to save the plane and people its horrible.

  • What was that guy on to let a kid sit in the captains. THE CAPTAINS seat!!!

  • That was the child's father... I HAV3 NO ID3A TH3 KID MUST'V3 PR3SS A BUTTON which he was not allowed 2 press

  • Actually he didn't. No one knew that toying with the controllers too much made a part of the auto pilot to be switched off. Then it went down hill from there.

  • Ohh rytt thanks very much:)

  • well they did know he was moving controls, but they din't know that if the steering control was held ina certain position for a length of time (like 30 sec)that part of the auto pilot shut off. No alarms to notify.

  • That's what I said, just different choice of words.

  • yes, you are right. I mis - read your post :)

  • guys please tell me if u know, what was the case called were it was cause of the T formation of the tailfin in all prototypes of tht prototype that the plane crashed? I need it 4 a project

    thx

  • well the guy who covers the a/c with the tape was sent to prison for 6 years

  • do u really feel safe in a airplane?????????

  • So, should you only blame that poor guy who covered the vital static ports on the a/c and forgot to remove it? The accident could have been prevented some how.

  • Just before the a/c lifted off the maintence workers cleaned the air craft. A worker covered the static ports with a piece of tape to protect them which is standard routine, but forgot to remove the tape. However, the inspector who should quality check the work did not do it. And the supervisor out on the line that night was sick. A regular mechanic who was filing that roll didnt see the tape and when the pilots did the walk around they didnt discovery it.

  • tape i'd like to pick up a flame trwower and BBQ the guy who used tape

  • That's a pretty simplistic response. The only error was using the wrong type of tape (non-reflective) and both the pilot and co-pilot missed spotting it, so it was their fault for missing the tape more than the unskilled worker who put it there.

  • It was not the pilots fault! Somehow it was because when they do the "walk around" they look at the static ports cause they´re so vital in flying.

  • Actually it is the captain who bears the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safety of the aircraft prior to departure. So yes, the pre-flight walk around was done by himself (and/or the flight officer) and if they missed the tape, then it IS their fault (although it was a combination of the incorrect tape being used, however the person using it was not skilled enough to appreciate the ramifications. All in all, this accident just highlights humans' vulnerability to err :(

  • Yes I know that the captain has the ultimate responsibility and also the definitive responsibility if the aircraft is flew able. The pre flight walk around was done by both the captain and the co pilot! The wrong type of tape? Are they using some particularly type of tape? It so sad, that this accident could have been prevented if some one, in the chain of mistakes, discovered the tape.

  • the worker also should have removed it in the first place...

  • Yeah, there's supposed to use a metallic type of tape (that's easy to see), but the worker didn't, and... of course forgot to remove it... And also, the captain/co-pilot should have aborted the take-off roll the moment they realised their airspeed indicators were malfunctioning.

  • true many mistakes never just one

  • The airspeed and altitude indicators didn't malfunction until the pilots were in the air (The malfunctions causes the altitude indicator to get stuck and the airspeed one to be changed by the inverse of altitude (speed they see=speed+k(stuck altitude-altitude), so nothing extraordinary happened until they were up in the air), And they TRIED to land as soon as possible.

  • i was in one of the air crash investigations

i was on avianca flight 52

  • you so lucky

  • really? i haven't seen that one... searching now... which one are you?

  • i was only 11 months and a couple of weeks old when that aeroflot crash happend.

  • I like this TV SHOW!!!:X:X

  • Well, iv'e seen a plane crush due to tape over sensors on altitude...

So the tape here, must have been in the wrong place!

  • So stupid putting your own (fat? xD) kid behind such a great, UNTILL THEN GOODWORKING, airplane...

  • I think your IQ is lower than that from a monkey.

Well, actually I don't THINK so, I KNOW it.

  • The tape was placed over a static port which is part of the pioto static system which is essential for instrumentation readouts of height and speed...

  • anyone know what the one with the tape was? the name of the epp i wana see how a bit of tape can cause that!!!! i wana see how it is possible

  • The Aeroperu crash occurred on 2 October 1996. Cause: maintenance crew covered inlet to altitude meter with tape, causing a false altitude reading.

  • With the air speed and other basic ones.

  • Air Crash Investigation - 1x05 - Flying Blind (Aeroperú Flight 603)

  • Yh its totaly amazing how one Little thing can cause all of this daage to The peopel one the planes and the family of the people Devistating :(

  • Flying blind is so sad ;(

  • yeah,a stupid lil piece of tape cause 70 lives lost

  • it is amazing how tiny things can cause so mush devastation

  • Thats awful.

  • Girl at 2:11 was pretty hot.

  • Well she was. Fag.

  • why was? everyone survived in that air france crash

  • shocking

  • If you actually watch the one with the child he never crashed the plane summet completely different did..... so he isnt stupid and never killed anyone.

  • Yeah he is innocent.

  • yea the auto pilot did it and you know what is worse they never fixed that problem because it helps people fly those planes today but the good thing is that people are now aware of it

  • it's kinda' sad. I mean, still, the kid killed the pplz. but the kid was killed too. I think im gonna cry... *crys crys*

  • Best Show on the box. Closely followed by Most Evil.
