  • sweet slo motion

  • @smugglinbooze

    Thanks.

  • @smugglinbooze that is about 500 frame per second

  • wanna learn how to draw back the cue ball check out my videos..

  • Thanks for the vids, they are very informative.

  • @MigllaKill

You're welcome ... and thank you.

  • I am having troubles doing the draw technique. People say to keep the cue 'level/parallel' with the table as possible and about a cuetip or 1 1/2 lower than centre etc and to 'follow through' when I hit the ball it seems to 80% of the time produce top spin no matter how hard I hit it or how low combined what am I doing wrong? I would much like to master the draw technique and I've been practising forever but as my shop teacher used to tell me, only perfect practice makes perfect.

The most likely cause is: you're probably dropping your elbow and not hitting the CB as low as you think.

For more info and advice, see the "draw shot" FAQ page on my website.

  • @DrDaveBilliards so what you think may be happening is as I am aiming I think im hitting low but just as I go to shoot my elbow drops, causing the cue to actually tip higher than what I was aiming? I should check this out because it sounds like it could be a common flaw. Thank you for getting back so quickly I like your videos and I subscribed!

That's it ... elbow down, tip up.

    You're welcome.

  • @DrDaveBilliards I was practicing a bit today and looking at the errors that you've discovered I have been making has helped significantly, however not mastered yet obviously it takes time. I find that I feel 'scared' of hitting too low and that I might jump the ball. I am getting better though thanks for advice!

    You're welcome.

Pretty soon, you'll be drawing like as artist. :)

  • things in this video are really nice to know. not everyone knows these juicy stuff...

  • @RaymondElMaid

Thanks for the comment. I agree.

  • follow through please

  • @pepamethodman

Bob uses a classic "pendulum stroke" which doesn't involve as much follow through as an elbow-dropping "piston" or "J" stroke. If you want more info on these topics (including advantages and disadvantages of each), see the "stroke" page in the FAQ section of my website (the link is in the video description).

  • @DrDaveBilliards thanks

  • @pepamethodman

Please help spread the word about my new vids,

    Dr. Dave
