man ron artest is a grown ass man...he was just mad that the refs ddnt see that elbow kobe gave him last year by mistake. ppl(not even ppl who follow the nba) just came out of nowere sayin they ddnt like him. they dnt even know da dude
umm, no, I'm just saying it how I felt when this went down. i know they felt the same way, just trying to say that I'm not ur typical LA fan that hated him when he was a Rocket, then instantly loved him when he came here. I was worried about the volatile part of him coming through with us.
I know what you mean about the bench... but not too worried about Cavs. Celtics maybe... I believe the lakers have found their rythme to play well with eachother. The fact that their team did not change much (we'll miss ariza) they were able to make a great trade to the benefit for the lakers. the truth behind my comment is yet to be seen 100% the season will tell no matter what I am a LOS ANGELS fan for life, LAKER, CLIPPERS, DODGERS - no angels their anahiem... lol
you know whats funny about these laker fans...they was hatin on ron artest when they played him against the rockets now that hes signed with the lakers they're ALL over hes NUT SACKED !! and they hate on shaq but hes the MAIN reason why they got the 3 rings prior from last year....all im sayin is MOST of these laker fans are BIASED and FAKE ..theyre not TRUE to the game and only will pick one side...LETS BE REAL!
LISTEN once and for all....you can NEVER take the authenticity of an atheletes skill level....you just can't no one denies that he's a good player all around......but we lakers fan only hate him because of the way he carries himself unprofessionally during the game...and offcourse you know the hatred deepens by nature when he's guarding THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE MR. KOBE BRYANT. Now that he's in with the lakers...i'm just worried about his temper towrads other opponents..but phil is there
nah... it's normal to hate really talented players. Same thing with Rodman. Obviously he is one of your biggest rivals and you hate him because you admire his playing. Then when you have that person on your side, it's great.
Hating rivals shows respect for their game. It's natural.
you know, with me, I was extremely, extremely nervous at first about him coming to LA. It's taken some getting used to, but now I've accepted the fact that he's here and gonna help us win.
Kobe owned artest in the playoffs, but im also glad that artest chose kobe over lebron. He could have wemt to cleveland but he chose not to. I think the lakers willwin over 70 +games this year. lakers 2010 nba champions.
ron artest always has the best childhood stories for every situation...the best one was the one he told last year after a playoff game against the lakers about the streetball game where the dude was mad he lost so he took a leg off a wooden table and threw it at a dude on the other team, and it went thru his heart and he died...it was random as i don't know what but it was funny...the dude dyin wasn't funny, the randomness of the story was lol...
i like this move. they got him cheap too cause he's a star player, and they only signed him for $33 million? not to say that's nothin, but there are players not nearly as good making more. the bad part is they lost ariza & probably odom too. i think artest is better than both of em individually, but i don't know if he can replace em both...they'll probably add 1 or 2 more free agents for cheap & try to utilize some players they didn't this past year, like adam morrison...
yeah i was shocked about that...i didn't think the lakers were gonna come back with a better offer but i guess they came thru...chances of a repeat are pretty good now...
we need LO back really bad... he was great coming off the bench. thr reason why is cuz hes so unselfish, i cant wait what defensive presence artest brings to LA. and dont forget we still got a kid from gonza that averaged almost 30 PPG in college, i have confidence in morrison
as much as i want him to, i don't think odom's comin back. i think that's dragged out for too long, and now they're offering less than they originally did. miami can offer a longer contract, more money, and more PT, and d-wade is making a big push to have him come there. plus miami's gonna try to get carlos boozer too. i believe he wants to stay in LA but i think at this point he's insulted that he's not getting what he asked the lakers for
What the fuck did he just say? That was like a jumble of a bunch of shit, and his life story and some pennys? Haha. Its all good, welcome to L.A Artest...
it just means he's going to make thm tougher or gangsta. u know like they're from the hood where they get down haha Artest is an O.G though for real...Go Lakers
Ron gonna be the Lakers "enforcer"..Crazy ass fuck...Maybe Phil could teach him to meditate and focus er sumthin'..Either way itz back to back titlez! Fuck Trevor Ariza!
This is great. Ron Artest (longest suspension in NBA history) looks up to Michael Jackson (who slept with children in his bed and potential pedophile), is playing on a team with Kobe Bryant (who cheated on his wife and potentially raped a woman), who idolizes Magic Johnson (who contracted aids while cheating on his wife) and both were honouring Michael Jackson (who...see above) - AND THEY ALL LIVE IN LA!!!
Haha, oh yeah! You're absolutely right! 91-93, then 96-98, and 00-02. Hopefully we got what it takes to make it 2009-2011 and beyond!!! Lakers in 2010 baby!
"Underpaid" Why don't these overpaid athletes come work a job they hate for $20 an hour before they wine about $6 mil a year!!! Sign up Lamar, you owe us money for being inconsistant your whole Laker career!!!!! Step up!
Absolutely the Lakers got better in essentially swapping Artest for Ariza. You guys are nuts to think that Ron isn't a better player. You never know what is going to happen next season as far as injuries are concerned, so this gives the Lakes just one more weapon. Any other team he might be poison but they have the Zen Master to keep it all working.
i agree with you Phil the Zen Master has also coached "The Worm" and it work for championship rings in the past so why not Artest and we all know how much of a distraction Dennis Rodman was.
Hahahaha, you're chirping the guy that executed possibly the most one-sided trade in NBA history, and just propelled your team to an NBA Championship.
Ariza wasn't anything special. He was good, don't get me wrong, but nothing to lose sleep over.
actually, the most embarassing moment in sports entertainment history is most likely the bull fighter getting stripped by the bull and a horn stuck up his ass... or that minor league manager crawling on the infield

Wats embarrasing is losing at ur own home in the last game of the finals. Magic Lakers gm 5 Yea that was embarrasing 4 the lakers at 08 but not the most! So dont trip...
