his timing is bad in this video too, not quite as bad as the tampa video i just commented on but hes late on the beat and the part of the chorus where its "mirror never lies" hes dropping the melody. yes i realize hes in a strait jacket.

When a band tours a lot, the toll on the lead singer's voice is usually affected. Almost no band sounds like they do on an album. The "mirror never lies" line is quite high. His throat is probably killing him, so he just chooses not to sing it that high.

i saw Geoff Tate sing in Charlotte at The Fillmore Oct. 2009. His voice is that of an angel!! Amazing talent!! The whole band was wonderful. Can't wait to see them again.

It's hard enough to sing this song as it is. Imagine what it takes to sing this song in a straight jacket with your arms folded across your chest! That's technique! If you watch carefully, you'll see how Geoff supports his singing-watch his posture, esp. for the big high notes-that's a lesson in itself! Amazing!

Tough to imagine a band now a days that would have enough vision to make a concept album. Mindcrime will go down in history as one of the greatests concept albums in hisory. Just buy mindcrime and listen to it beginning to end and try to grasp the story behind it.
