Hi. I like your video. As you have been using the crucial ssd drive for a while now, have you notice or experience any performance issues? I am in the market looking for a ssd drive for my macbook pro 2009 model as well. I have narrow the field down to intel, vertex and crucial drives. In the end it will come down to economics as these drives aren't cheap. Your suggestions or comments will certainly help. Thanks.

@PavleP1 Same as a hard drive for storage but faster, less power draw.

@dylanbobmaley Well, you just need to backup your files to an external hard drive. Then install the SSD, then restore back to the SSD. Look at using something like SuperDuper.

Was looking at the c300's on Newegg. I compared them and found no difference between the two but one is 569 dollars and the other is 620 dollars. Any idea on what the difference is?

Hey Dave, I know this might seem a little dumb, but i was wondering, when you replace the Drive, won't your computer have nothing on it? Because stuff are stored on drive (the old one), right?

@EnjoyMyDust Totally correct. You need to either clone your previous hard drive, or backup and then restore, or start from scratch.

Ugh... If I see another video about a SSD, I'm going to buy one :D. I'd have to take out the optical drive from my MacBook Pro to put the SSD in and keep the usual HDD in there. Battery life will decrease a little, but everything will be much faster and will be worth it.

about the geekbench:

your standart imac has a score wich is almost twice as high, does that also mean that the general performance of your imac is twice as... "good" ?

and second is that drive the same 1 you installed in your windows desktop pc? or did you keep that little drive in there?

@MrPimutje General performance is not twice as good, day to day computing you will not see it as much.

It is the same drive, I have kept it in my MacBook for now, then in about six months it'll probably find its way back into the PC.

I have a question davomrmac, when you open your macbook at about 2:25, it looks different than it does a couple seconds later, after a cut, during which some RAM that was previously not there popped into view. What happened there? Did you do a memory upgrade without showing us? Just curious. On topic though, do you really get 350 mbps read speed and 215 write speed? I am very jealous. I like the transition music too,

@ItsJayson RAM upgrade video is also on my channel, used it in the edit to make the upgrade process easier. Speeds are not quite what quoted, as MacBook only supports SATA 3MB/s.

You didnt put back the plastic tab that was on the original hard drive, to be able to lift the hard drive, i know its not a big deal cause a flat head or tilting the hard drive will also work

@davomrmac I'm planning on upgrading the hard drive in a Samsung NC10 netbook. Do you know if there is any advantage in putting such an SSD in it. I've heard that the interface for Atom processors isn't very fast.
