  • I recommend not putting a hot pyrex glass dish on a cold surface.

I ruined a meal once when one exploded on me.

  • Sounds great Aku but What was your oven temp for the kalua pig?

  • So you can't cook a pig in the ground w/o a permit?? How do you go about applying for one?

I've started doing my Kalua Pig with big old slices of Pineapple on top, it turns out really well.

  • never had Hawaiian food before... I love the music btw

    Cheers

  • SWEET!

  • Great video, I look forward to trying this out. Hawaiian food is awesome. Loco Mocos are fab!

One question, what did you use to smoke it?

  • liquid smoke - ( 1 tspn )

  • Hey jd thanks for watching my video...to answer your question, Huli Huli sauce is mainly used for chicken, I don't suggest you use it for the Kalua pork but if you want to, go for it! Use as a bbq sauce basting frequently. Hope this helps!
