Who is danhorner14? Where the hell does he get condescention from this video? I have, had, and will always have only the highest respect and gratitude, bordering on idol worship, for Mr. Herseth. I first heard him live in Carnegie Hall in 1975. Big miss, danhorner14!
Jim would never, ever sound condescending. The wonderful stories Jim has about Bud are just wonderful. Jim really loves Mr. Herseth, nothing but respect for one of our finest trumpeters in history.
Dooley's voice is just dripping with this condesending tone. I don't know why he thinks Bud is senile or something but he sounds and looks just fine to me.
I don't think he was being condescending. The room was quite noisey, with a lot of background noise that isn't obvious on this video. I think Mr. Dooley was just trying to be sure that Bud could hear him clearly. The admiration and respect is obvious, in my opinion.
Excuse me danhorner14, i happened to meet Mr. Jim Dooly in person and he is an extremely nice and modest, he has much respect for Mr. Herseth and people around him including trumpetart and ommtpt ( i know them in person ).
This comment is unfair to Mr.Dooly and very disrespect and i hope in the future you would consider other's feelings before commenting in any other youtube videos.
