Well, the "Welcome to Paducah" message that is painted on the river side of the flood wall is totally under water now. If it wasn't for that flood wall that was built after the 1937 flood, Paducah would be under water again. The communities outside the wall like Farley, Harmoney, Symsonia and Smithland are all flooded as we speak.
I loved Paducah Ky when I lived there in the 90's. I lived on Madison st. and worked at JR's Executive Inn on the Riverfront. The riverfront wasn't developed that much at that time, but I love what they have done with the murals and the flood wall. It is a shame that they lost Executive Inn. A friend of mine was trying to bring it up to date with redoing the hotel. He was the new designer, but I believe everything went to hell after he quit.
PADUCAH SUX!!! That's why i left on my space ship SLAVE I and went back 2 my home planet of KAMINO. Now I do freelance bounty hunting 4 DARTH VADER, THE GALACTIC EMPIRE, and JABA THE HUTT. U can't spell suck without U K!
I remember as a kid going behind the wall with friends on the river's bank and we'd try our best to hit the barges with rocks. We'd never reached them. The old museums were always a treat too, even if you've been there a hundred times.

Wow I went to school with her. I was a 2 years ahead of her but she graduated with my sister. It' s pretty cool to see what she's done with her life.

ah...I see. I only ask because I'm relocating there next month. I've only been once and it was years ago. So, nothing specific?
