Because of overfishing we have extinct species etc. and by the way, this is 21st centure, we no longer require blubber to keep warm, unless youre a native american (they are allowed to hunt several whales a year because of the culutre conservation movement)

I just spent three weeks teaching in Ethiopia. The roads there can barely even be classed as roads. Yet no-one needed a range rover. Maybe if you dried more slowly, and more carefully, your wife and kids wouldn't be in danger. If you local administrators didn't have to spend as much rebuilding your local environment because of your car, they might have more money to fix the roads.

I drive at a perfectly acceptable speed (45 to work, 110 home), its not me putting the wife and kids in danger - its the pissheads and other dangerous drivers. They have plenty of money to fix the roads, but don't - they'd rather spend it on "team building exercises" and probably buscuits.
