@rvcadg i think that every dude who play with a pick do it because it sounds more sharp or something, although u make lots a mistakes when u play with a pick...... so in metal u "should" use pick, because its sounds "better"(it doesnt sound any better if u dont know how to use a pick), but then there is those fast parts that are easier to play with that pick........ but i still use fingers no matter what....... :D

it just depends on what sound you want. hennka from cob uses a pic. he played guitar so he just stayed with the pick. bassists are yes supposed to use fingers...that doesnt mean you have to, but thats what it was intended for. again its your choice tho on what you want to use.

ok, i just perfected this song a few weeks ago, and jyst from the intro u did a lot of things wrong, on the last hit at the intro its 2 1's, during the first verse its much lower strings 0 1 0 3, also ur alternate picking sounded pretty scetchy and u only used the top string for the second intro riff, in fact u way overuse top string through the whole song, a lot of the time when ur hitting 7's those are opens on the next string, sorry for criticizing so much other than that great job

A pick doesn't attain any sound that you can't get with your fingers. Bass isn't just that instrument in the background playing root notes. It's a versatile instrument that should be played a certain way. Using a pick is like playing a piano with a bread knife.
