  • love James Taylor, love this song, so positive.

  • Hell yea !

  • amazing

  • A magical moment to be sure.

  • Wow Natalie

  • Haunting echo in your version of James' great song, you make it sound lovely.

  • wow. I've never heard this song before, and I love it. I love the Chicks, which was how I first heard of it. Thumbs up for freedom of speech.

  • Geweldig!!!!!!!

  • Provavelmente a voz mais incrivel da musica country.

  • Wow talent and beauty!!!

  • Damn Natalie can SANG!!

  • Not bad...i prefer James Taylor version though. ..

  • Maravilhoso!!!! James Taylor é uma lenda da musica que passa de geração para geração transmitindo um sentimento de paz. Fazer uma viagem ouvindo James Taylor no carro é sinonimo de uma viagem boa e agradavel!!

  • This is great! Their harmonies are very perfect! Love them!

  • Natalie seems kind of shy...

  • i know i've listened to this song like all day i luv the Dixie Chicks so much i also hate Toby Keith nd George Bush he's a trader

  • Her first word that comes out of her mouth makes me melt....love it:)

  • WOW

  • Where can I find this song sung by them!!!!

  • This happens when you put TOP artists together...

(McCullan, Steve Gadd, Landau and Natialie's incredible voice)

  • Natalie looks so gorgeous here! I love her hair like that, and they sang this song wonderfully!

  • Where I work, this is a demonstration for a Bose product. I've been meaning to look this up forever... and FINALLY it's here!

  • Beer for my Horse says it all about that dumbfuck dickhead toby keith. what a repugnant individual toby is and anybody that agrees with him about the Dixie Chicks.

  • James Taylor has always been one of my musical heroes, too. And this is a LOVEly song.

The Dixie Chicks cover it with talent, respect, and - most importantly - with love.

For the song, for the philosophy underlying it... and for the man who wrote it.

    Thank you!

  • I liked them when they first broke. Then I was even more impressed when they had the balls to speak their minds about the policies of the Bush administration. Now I'm even more impressed. Who new Natalie had that r & B, soul thing goin'. Thanks Hendy.

  • I love how natalie sings the begining of this song.

the song is very good too.

  • Love them, miss the Dixie Chicks so much! Thanks for posting it.

  • Presidential Medal of Honor? I always respected their stand on the war, but Presidential Medal of Honor? I know dozens of regular folks doing so much more for humanity. Get a grip on reality daddy. LOL

  • dixie chix "theyllbeok"

  • a performance "ofalifetime"

  • onementioningtheeotherneveranother...

  • natalie maines could sing the phone book and I'd still be hypnotized by her voice. She can do sweet, sexy, country, soul and she never misses a note. I stumbled on the video of the chicks at the 2007 grammy awards and was completely bowled over. I wasn't a fan before; I had a vague notion that they were some country girls doing typical, shallow "new" country music. Their musicianship, sophisticated lyrics, grace under pressure, and natalie's unbelievable voice, have made me a convert. Chicks rule

  • I couldn't agree more. They will always be the Queens of Texas

  • She is fucking awesome and she still is a step short of James.

  • lol i love the phone book thing. but your right. I love the Dixie Chicks seeing them live in their Accidents and Accusations tour was by far one of my best experiences. VOICE INSIDE MY HEAD is my favorite song.

  • honestly feel that all the idiots that boycotted the Dixie Chicks now realize that they were right all along in opposing Bush.

    vivan las dixie chicas

  • well, in the end is always the truth.

Great song! Thank u so much!

  • From a UK perspective we respected the Dixie Chick speaking her mind at a time when most thinking informed people of conscience were also appalled with our joint foreign policy. The fact that they were reviled back in the States highlighted a necessary process that has now found fulfilment in an ethical person taking the oath of presidency.

  • i miss the chicks i feel so sad about them being treated like they were'i guess us woman should have no voices we can speak up or we'll get shot down! The Chicks Role "three very strong woman"voiced there opinion and for that radio never played any of there music.Sorry chicks but i do hope you girls come back we all miss your music and voices!

  • I said to a friend of mine just yesterday that my only disappointment so far with President Obama is that he's yet to award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Sean Penn and Natalie Maines. Well, my friend is a conserative Republican, so tak a guess how that went? But the funny thing is that I was dead serious.

  • The Chicks rule and it is nice to see good commments about them here, I am sick of all the fighting if you like them then you like them if you don't you don't that's ok too, but all the hateful needs to go. I love them and proud to say that I do... keep it going Dixie Chicks

  • The Chicks Rule!

  • thanks for uploading! This performance is new for me. I like it. Live performances is one of the strenghts in natalie maines voice!

  • Wow. They r my hero Im gonna meet her

  • i work at Target and the bose center plays this video to show the sound quality. this song is fantastic and they performed it wonderfully

  • LOL those sound clips at Best Buy are what got me interested in this version lol.

  • she only little but what a big voice. i think im in love

  • Is Martie's violin solo a normal part of this song or was it specially created for their version of the song? Either way, I love it so much! It's short, but gives me goosebumps every time. But then again, pretty much anything Martie plays is guaranteed to give me goosebumps... she's amazing!

  • I agree. Her playing is sick. That part was added.

  • I always have to weep when watching this...

  • To Natalie fans , if this doesn't give you Goose Bumps. nothing will!

    Awesom vocals.

  • She is so amazing. I love this Dixie Chicks..

  • LMAO. Someone should do a mash-up with Sister Golden Hair.

  • Who was the black dude singing back-up?...great voice...Chicks...AAA+++...as per usual

  • His name is Arnold Mccullough. If you ever get to see James Taylor in concert hope that he is there. His voice is crystaline.

I have seen James Taylor in concert twice, once with Arnold and once without. Shower the People is not the same without him.

  • the did the song much justice....Chicks rule no matter what ~N~

  • i really love the chicks, i hope they remeber when Imus played them on his show when they were just starting out....and i hope they didn't throw him under the bus

  • Great! You should really check out the backup singer who performs this with JT. He did the part Natalie did her at the end and it brought the house down. The posting is here (James Taylor Beacon Theatre)

  • that is Arnold McCuller

  • totally amazing. I love the Dixie Chicks

  • That gave me chills!!! I've never heard Natalie belt it that way and it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, she sure can belt it out!! Arnold McCuller is an old friend of James Taylor's so... double surprise! This song was taught to them by James backstage at one of the Crossroads type performances.. great.

  • So, beautiful!

  • Thanks much. JT

  • Love that haunting violin also

  • Awesome, thanks for posting. Natalie's looking spectacular at this performance!

  • I'm speechless!!! OMG are they fantastic?! Loved Natalie's joke, and who is the male vocalist? Anyone know? Thanks!

  • I'm not sure, but i'm pretty sure it's the same guy that backed James at his performance at Beacon Theater in 1998

  • Yes, that is the same guy. He's great no wonder they invited him to sing as well.

  • Never heard this song. WOnder if you have "Mississippi"

  • orangevertigo, this was to honor James Taylor, and it's one of his songs -usually other musicians will play their versions of the person being honored- thats why you didnt know it. Look up Dixie Chicks to find Mississippi. -dovetrees

  • My absolute favorite song of all time... Marvelous rendition as well

  • that background singer is the incomparable Arnold McCuller.

  • They are!! I especially love the last part with this awesome background singer!

  • Thanks for posting!!!!! They are just great fit with JT and his music.
