Ah yes, the only thing I remember about EVE, fucking porting everywhere and never actually getting there. Fun times. Would have been a rival to WoW if it wasn't so hard to find new missions or agents, and you didn't have to travel an hour to get to a good rep one.
u do realise ...what your looking at is exacly the same scale as looking at a 20" monitor no difrence whatsoever ,. im actualy planning on using a 32" tv when i get it in december but my point is bigger but no better ...just might as well do it for shits and giggles (looks good)
something about those stargate sounds is what made eve... eve... they nerfed the awesome gate sounds so it all sounds less awesome and mystical.. i wish they brought back the gate sounds as well as the visuals they got rid of... like the particle effects at stargates, or the de-materialisation effect it used to show (going from one end to the other) and then theres the cyno effect.... CCP... WHY DID YOU NERF ALL THE THINGS THAT MADE EVE AWESOME ??? D:
I tried running this game through Vista on my Samsung 42" LCD and it says :not supported mode" any ideas on how i can change this so i can play on my flatscreen? thx :)
Check the manual for your TV, it should have a table where it says it only supports certain refresh rates for certain resolutions. Probably only 60hz for the higher resolutions. You'll need to set this up in eve before you hook it to your tv
heh, stop talking about DVI. Now granted I'm running on a small 15.4 dell xps because I run back to school (so forgive the specs) but right out of my m8600gt take the HDMI and enjoy eve in crystal clear HD.
"what machine you need to run these kind of resolutions properly?"
depends on how well you run it already. my native res is 1440x900 which is what i run eve on, but on the tv it actually runs better cause its a lower res on a bigger screen.
umm..well u got a 8800 card and your 2nd monitor is larger...i wouldnt call that stomping... Esata vs. FW 800 dual RAID 0..nope..but for a laptop my MBP is ot all that bad...;) and my 8 core MAC (2.8) destroys yours anyways...server build quality , 8800 graphics, 16 GB ram..., 2 x dual raid 0 (1 TB x2)..thats 2 dedicated raids + asystem drive... umm..any questions... ??? lol
apple macbook pro = intel dual core + 7200 rpm drive + 4 GB ram + 8600 512 MB nividia + 2.6 GHZ Penryn Chip + vista + linux + Mac OS Leopard + 250 GB HD + DVI out to 23" display dual monitor + dual raid 0 on Firewire 800.... we dont even warm up the 8 core desktop for that stuff...lol... love my cheap quadcore dell too though...awesome...
How did you get it to look so good because I am having a hard trying to get it right. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. Because when I try to turn eve on I am getting invalid format on my tv. I think it the resolution or my GFX card giving me a hard time. I have a BFG invida 7600gt oc with 256mb of onboard of ram Please help me.

Did you use a HDMI input or regular monitor input. I'm just curious because i plan to be doing this soon.

Wow... Call me a nerd, but I'm thinking of going to go buy a HD TV for the sole purpose of playing EVE on it (I don't watch tv much)
That would mean updating my pc too... Damn you CCP for making such an awesome game! Daaaaamn yooooouuuuu

i love more my current setup. One 48" is too big so with my triple sli setup i have 6x 22" LCD screens allowing me to play many alts at same time.

isnt 6 alts a bit overkill?

My MacBook Pro's DVI out, run through a DVI-to-VGA converter, straight into the TV. :)

I set up a TV like that once. My eyes started to melt out of my head about 2 hours later. Switched it back after that.
