  • If this looks too difficult, you should really look at EZ Armor. It follows the same principal of securing the entire door but is MUCH easier to install. EZ Armor does not require trim removal or Both are made by Armor Concepts, the authority in door security.

  • what if they try a window?? I have a better idea to prevent a home invasion. A mossberg 12 gauge with 00 bucks :-)

  • Just make sure that your wife and kids know how to use it in the event that you are not home. It takes 10 seconds to kick-in a door. Is your 12-gauge loaded and ready for action at all times?

  • damn they ain't playing. Taking off your door frame and shiz.

  • I am curious, but I can't watch this. Seems too slow. I'm not patient enough to watch it.. Doesn't introduce, show or explain in the beginning what the product is, what it's suppose to do and how it's suppose to do it.

  • I, for one, installed this product on ALL of my doors and the doors on my elderly mother's house. This product is superior to the other "armor" products because it reinforces several spots across the door system instead of just the jamb. I'm no rocket scientist, but the installation sure wasn't that difficult. Pop the trim off, use a reciprocating saw to cut the nails out of the way to allow the product to slide into place, fasten it in with screws, replace trim - piece of cake. Thanks!

  • Why am i a fucking idiot? wow such a way for a businessman promoting his product to speak to a lady. All im saying is....heck never mind....this product is just too much to install.....anyway i have found such an easier to install product and secures just as good Steel Door Armor

  • @marrisasoto

Your review of Door Jamb Armor is inaccurate. DJA EZ doesn't require removing the door frame and its installation is the same as the "Steel Door Armor" product you mentioned previously.

DJA Ultimate, however, does require removal of the door jamb and a RECIPROCATING saw, to cut the nails that were used in the initial installtion of the door jamb. DJA Ultimate is a more secure product than both DJA EZ and your little "Steel Door Armor" product.

  • Thank you for this video, I was a little concerned it might have been too tough of a job, I see now it isn't. This appears to be an excellent product to protect most residential doors, greatly needed. I had previously installed some upgrades (high security deadbolt, super large door jam shield and extra long screws), but I had not paid enough attention to the hinges. I paid a total of about $30 for hardware, which I feel makes my door about half as secure as your complete Door Jam Armor.

  • So say my dog or elderly mom was in danger? A neighbor or stranger cant get in to help before emergency response personnel arrive.

Which brings how would emergency response personnel gain access if a fire blocks window access?

Plus I just dont think and average homeowner could install this, would take hiring a contractor, which would be more fees.

  • Police/Fire/EMS will use a battering ram which will take your door down, period.

They are able to take metal doors with metal door frames in commercial office buildings down, your reinforced wood frame with a fiberglass door won't be a problem because they have the right TOOLS.

The install looks simple to me. If you can use a hammer and a cordless drill you can install this thing. I'm not what I would consider handy and I could install this thing blindfolded.

  • If all else fails they would use a gasoline powered block saw to cut through the door or something. These people show up with a truck full of heavy tools, It is extremely difficult to keep them out.

  • @marrisasoto So then what is the point of door locks in you opinion? You can't choose who your locked door lets in the house so it's either all or nothing you fucking idiot. Plus firefighters have saws that cut threw steel so a door isn't going to stop them from getting in.

  • @marrisasoto They can't get in if the door is locked. If the door is not locked, the burglar will have no problem either. Ever think of that?

If a fire is blocking window access, anybody in that room is already dead. The EMTs would just go to another window - unless you only have one in your house.

Following directions is the key. Just like cooking from a recipe. Sounds like you lack the discipline and comprehension skills of a 7th grader.

If you're so helpless, get a 2nd job and pay.

  • I just purchased two door jamb armor assemblies. Thanks for putting this video online. It'd be a lot nicer without the music/bass, but I appreciate it.
